if you want to test the potency of your butter melt some in some coffee w/ sugar and drink it ... if it works you'll feel it in 10 minutes or so...

how much thc can one stick of butter hold??? im assuming the fatty cells in the butter can only hold so much because it would be a waste to know your not using all the thc to its full potential.

we used one ounce to one of those boxes of butter which i believe have six sticks???
we also got really picky and picked the brang with the most vegetable oil in to absorb as much thc as possible

Ive never added water to my butter. ive also never had anyone tell me how to do this before, all i new was that it was butter and weed, then u bake or do what u want with it. so ive always gotten a quarter and two sticks of butter. i melt the butter down as slow as possible. then i gring my weed in a coffee gringer. when the butter is all liquid i add weed. raise the temp. slightly for a very low simmer. I do it for about 10-15 min. to try and get rid of the slight amount of water in butter already. When i researched vaporizers I believe the temp was 225 that thc is released and thats how it worked. so to me simmering for 5 hrs. is not necessary. just reaching the right temp. to release the thc is(which ever it may be). Im no professional or scientist but all i can say is, is when i make butter i get hammered bro.

i always simmer my butter in water for like 1 hour and then chill it over night. all the btter floats to the top of the water and hardens. so if you put one stick of butter in then after its all said and done you still have one stick because only the water evaporates.:peace:

alright cool so i dont need water,,, i dunno what the water is for just know that my friend told me to do it and my brownies and cookies still tore me up

he kinda told me that the water worked as a coolant as to not burn the thc while simmering but who know lol it does work though but i will be trying with out water next time and the coconut oil sounds like it would really good

i think the water takes out the impurities. if you boil the water with the butter, then let the butter cool down, you will notice that the water is green. it tastes like old bongwater! ( thats the crappy stuff you dont want it the butter )
