2k Watt Growzilla Nightmare!

This Growzilla hood has been nothing but a nightmare for me! I really wish I would have bought separate hoods. To make a long story short I ended up with an 8 inch fan with the 8-6in reducer to pull cool air from outside(currently around 50 degrees) through my hood, and vent it outside. I have 2k watts and the heat comes through the glass shield faster than I can vent it out. The hood itself is nice and cool and the line coming from outside gets cold to the point it has condensation. I have a 1k dual arc bulb(600hps with 400mh) and a 1k hps. I even have an 12k btu air conditioner blowing on the damn glass directly and it dropped my temps down to around 95. It produces heat faster than the AC can pump out cool air. I have two of these hoods set up like this with separate fans, intakes, and exhaust.

Bottom line is this hood needs to be a little bigger to suck this heat out. I have plenty of cool air and CFMs but the Growzillas won't cool for shit. Just a warning for anyone wanting to grow in a sealed room with low ceilings. If anyone has any suggestions please give me a shout!

Anyone here use the Melon Head reflectors? Looks like a cool tube with a reflector over it. I am thinking about changing things around.

Ive been looking at both reflectors you speak of. I was wondering how the cooling situation worked in the growilla. I like the looks of the melon hoods.

That's very strange and my fan is smaller than yours. I'm running the growzilla in a tent with 2 hortilux 1k hps bulbs and I have no heat issues. I have 1 6" 400 cfm fan pulling air through the light from one end and a carbon filter on the other. I also have an ac blowing into the tent and my temps are between 78-83 depending on when the ac kicks on and off. I think your problem maybe that your pulling air from outside through your hood and back outside. You need to exhaust hot air from the room too. I only have 1 fan use to pull air through my hood and exhaust the tent at the same time. The growzilla works great for me since I'm in a tent and can't fit 2 hoods in there but can still get the benefits of running 2k using this hood.
