good bulb for veg and to keep around in the flower cycle if you have the room.

remember that the 1600 lumens is with the light pointing up. if you point the light downwards you loose 100 lumens.

yeah, one of those globes should be good for at least 15-20 fully mature plants

yes they work great i use them for side lighting as i have bigger wattages up top and what he means about the 100 lumens thing is that the spiral cfls produce more light from the sides instead of the end or top of the bulb as for 100 lumens lost not real sure on that but the do better sideways ....... the reason why is there is more surface area of bulb to produce more light from the sides...... id recomend a bare minumum 3 per plant to grow more is needed to grow lots better its more about the produced lumens and proximity to the plant your after than total watts on cfls but of course watts do go up with lumens..... a good rule of thumb is a minimum of 3000 lumens per sq ft of grow floor

as for the globe thing LMAO bro

Is it that big of a difference? Cuz I have 4 hanging upside down around n above one plant (well the two angled at the top of the plant r bent so that it mimicks a Y adapter..) I have 2-2100 lumen, 30 watt, 3500k, 1-1500 lumen, 26 watt, 6500k, and 1-1150 lumen, 20 watt, 6500k...(some lil fucker put a 20watt in the 26 watt box behind a 26 watt, so I grabbed the first one never looked at the second lol) All only on one plant.. Any general advice?

oh and to figure lumens per sqft take your total number of lumens and divide by your sq ft( LxW) if you didnt kno that

But it's not like the tops are poured twards the plants... Each light faces a part of the plant with the side of the bulb.. The two on the sides r hangin on the sides (so the side is facing plant) and the two facin the top r angled in the Y shape as I mentioned.. I specifcally intended on exposing plant to the most light possible
