Hello all. Starting a new journal here again. We're just about ready to start flower. I have some light leaks to take care of. And just want to take an extra week or so to make sure they're all gonna be ready. I've had a lot of learning experiences this grow.
A little background.
As for room conditions...
Room goes from 65-79 degrees. I've had a few spikes of 85. Days where it goes to 60. Humidity usually is 30-50. I've got a 440 cfm fan pulling in cold air directly from outside for room air exchange. Another to pull through lights. A small 150 cfm fan to push heat into my house.
Sentinel controllers both work perfectly. Camera just makes them look dead. The Guardian, however, has dead spots that kind of make it hard to tell what you have going on.
As for the soil plants....
Soil plants are in 10 gal smart pots. Soil is FFOF/Ancient Forest/ FFHF/ Perlite. These plants are about 3 months from clones. Started under 1k hps. Using Soul Synthetics nutes. I have the full line. When I transplanted to 10 gal pots, I had an issue with salt build up due to not getting enough run off. Plants bounced back. Then I did it again! Dammit lol. So they got pretty pale. They're recovering very nicely once again and I think they're just about ready for flower. I'd just really hate to run through all that N early into flower and screw myself a 3rd time, so I've been giving them easy nutes and plenty of time to recover. Nowadays, they get plenty of runoff.
As for the DWC Tub...
Chem Dawg is the strain. The plant is about 3 months from clone. The tub holds 6-7 gallons of water with roots. GH 3-part Flora. I use all the at equal parts. + Dutchmaster Zone and Rapidstart occasionally. I'm using a 20 watt pump and 6 stones. Holding temps about 65 in res. You can see in the pic the plant sits kinda lopsided. When it was small, I tied it up with green tie wire to stabilize. Plant grew around the wire and I lost the bigger half of this beast. Not before I took clones though. Then I noticed the roots were growing so big they were being choked by the net pot. So I cut out pieces of the net pot for the larger roots to grow. Learning experiences lol.
Now I've started having a low PH problem in DWC Tub. I set it high and it will drift low over a day. Not overfeeding because it's still eating PLENTY of nutes. I suspect it to be low oxygen to root zone. I will change air stones for new ones and upgrade air pump if I need to. I am also considering picking up hygrozyme to deal with whatever dead root matter may be there. Obviously, I'll need to stop using Zone for the mean time if I go that route. Anyone have experience with this?
