when planting...i heard u should plant more than one seed together...is this true? and after u cut the plant to get ur herb...does the plant grow back?

Nope, not true. One plant per container.

Most of the time, the entire plant is cut down at harvest and new plants are planted for the next harvest.

Yeap one per container unless you have a shortage of containers. It's not really worth the hassle to try to hold a plant over. Better over all to start new.
