Hey Majek , your plants are looking really nice , you gonna have some nice fat main colas there my man ,
We started flowering on the same day (2nd may) so i thought i would just show you these plants of mine .
They are really coming on now . Got me self a microscope the other day to check the tricombes and they are milky , some are still white but most are milky so can only be another week or two annd happy days for me my friend , Gave plants last feed of bio bloom yesterday and now only going to give mollasses @ tablespoon per gallon .
Heres the pics , These pics were taken about 10-14 days ago
whats up irishstaff, your plants look great :D the leaves look very healthy. I'd give them about 3 more weeks though if you started 12/12 on may 2nd. What type of lights do you use? I just posted some new pics let me know what you think :D

Im using 400watter hps , Ive got my light about 7-8 inches from canopy and temps are @ 78-79f, Humidity is @46-49%
The bulb ive got pushes out 55,000 lumens but cos my light is so close im actually getting 212,000 lumens onto my plants and i can tell ya now that i think these will finnish in about 2 weeks they are really going well now .
I did have a dade of round about 1st july but just see how it goes , wheres your pics , carnt find them mate .

nice, I need a 400w hps badly this 250w isn't cutting it anymore. it works great but my plants stretch more than they should. the pics are on page 4 the last post at the bottom, but I'll just post them again :joint::D

06/21 (Week 5 flower): She's 10 weeks old from seed today, I added a new layer of top-soil and I'll feed her 2 more times before the final flush begins. The buds are starting to take shape now, especially the center cola that is directly under the HPS bulb. This is exactly why I need better lighting but I'm still happy with the results so far. I only took 1 decent pic because my camera battery died :( I'll take more soon.

Man your plant is looking real sweet. You didn't start LST till you switched to flowering right?
I start lst in veg as soon as the branches start to form, then when the branches start to grow above the mainstem I switch to 12/12. In flower I just spread apart the branches a little so it gets more airflow in the middle. I've tried other methods but I always end up with too many branches and tiny buds

thats good info majek, my plan has about a week left, i feed her rain water and a bit of mollassas today, when and how should i do my final flush? Just straight ph'd water, how many times?

I just flush for about a week, 3 or 4 waterings. then i let the soil dry out completely before i chop it helps the buds dry faster

@ Majek, you certainly did a good job with your LST work. You have inspired me to follow your LST style. Correct me if I am wrong, but it appears to me that if you LST (early) let's say at around 4-5 nodes, you would end up with more budsites with small colas. Using your method, it looks like you focus on having less budsites and the end result is you get bigger colas.

Yeah, IMO its better to have less colas that get direct light than a bunch of branches that end up stretching because they are lacking light. The scrog method as opposed to lst would allow you to have both, but I'm not a big fan of scrog I like lots of airflow between the branches.

This is only my 4th official grow so I'm still experimenting, but in all my previous setups I grew 3-4 plants at a time. I've tried topping and different ways of LST training but they always grew way too tall and the lower branches didn't get enough light. This time I wanted to focus on less plants and train the branches to grow even with the canopy so they all got an even amount of light.

I am glad that you have experimented with topping and different ways of LST and the method you used for your Burmese seems to be working out the best (minus the stretch of course) I have spent countless hours researching on different ways to train your plants for a lower profile with lower wattage lamps and this is what looks the best to me imo. I had originally thought about topping and LST, but after following your grow, I won't.

By the way, do you think the stretching is due to genetics, the height of your light, or the power of your light?

genetics play a big role. some plants will stretch no matter what light they are under, but every budsite needs direct light to reach its full potential or it will compensate by stretching. Don't get me wrong I love my 250w but I hate rotating my plants all the time so they get even light. More light = more bud every time

06/27 (Week 6 flower): The buds are finally starting to ripen now, I zoomed in on a sugar leaf and I see mostly cloudy trichs so just a little bit longer :joint::D I wish I had a better camera she is covered in crystals but you can't see them :( The fan leaves are starting to die, maybe I overfed her a little but I'll be flushing with straight water for the next week then its harvest time!

07/03 (Week 7): Technically this is week 8 because I didn't start counting until 2 weeks after I started 12/12. The breeder says BK finishes in 7.5 weeks (50-55 days) so I decided to chop on day 50. I probably should've waited a little longer but the trichs were turning amber and all the fan leaves were dying and I needed them to make bubble hash :joint::D Plus the sooner I clean out the closet the sooner I can start my next grow.

This was my best harvest from a single plant so far, my first time growing this strain but definately not the last. I won't know the final weight until its dry but it looks like almost an oz on each cola :D I'll follow-up with a smoke report and some pics of the buds curing in mason jars as soon as it dries :eyesmoke:

I started germinating 2 seeds today, 1 burmese kush and 1 sharksbreath (freebie from attitude). My plan for the next grow is LST'ing 2 moms then taking a bunch of clones for a mini sea of green setup. I'll start a new journal when the time comes and post a link here. Thanks again to everyone for stopping by and have a happy 4th of July!

Majek, I'm happy that this grow ended up being the best you've had from a single plant. You've made me a believer with your LST method. Those buds look delicious.

I hate it when you end up flushing too early resulting in an earlier chop than you would like. I'm going to try a new flushing technique next grow so I can basically feed my plants all the way up until harvest.

I'll be waiting for the final weight and smoke report.
