250 watts metal halide

just seen a 250 watts metal halide for 100 dollar. that a good deal to me ut anyway, have anybody veg with it im using a t8 that put out 4,000 and im wonder is a 250 watts mh push out more lumen then 4000

I own a 250 watt MH/HPS called the Pulsar Mini made by Sunleaves it came with both a 250 MH and 250 HPS bulb both were made by GE the ballast is INSIDE the unit and with a flick of a switch you can use either bulb(one at a time) I paid $130.00 for it and have been using it now for 2 months been growing with CFL's for 2 years before this.
I am using it in a closet enclosure I made and only have a little more then a 2x2 space so its perfect for me I am using 1 - 3' foot tall fan and the area stays around 76f room has a AC of coarse, I also have 2 150watt cfl's on the side's just for a little extra help.
Normally I grow short AutoFlowering plants but a friend gave me a clone of some kind of Cheese and it is loving the light.
Each bulb(MH/HPS) puts out just over 20k(20,000+) lumens, while this light is weak for most if you dont have the room you can't beat the price for what it can do and what it contains(Light Kit-Ballast-Bulbs).
There is a 400watt version of it also but after using the 250 for a while now I am glad I didnt go with the 450 as that would have been too hot for a small space.

Hey evilgreenz where did you get the MH + HPS bulb/ballast combo for 150?

hey thanks i got a 2x2 tent ima use the 250watts for veg but i got a 1000watts hps for flowering i got a whole bedroom to wrok with but low on money for a 1000watt mh light

250 should work perfect for that space but if u wana save some green go with a 175wmh good luck

This is where I got it from right now it shows it for $200, however that is not the right price how can the 400w be only $25 more?
I was charged $137 for it and that was 2 months ago, at the checkout it came out to $190 but I was only charged the $137 might have been an error on there part
but either way it was supposed to be like $170 and $20 to ship it.I would call them to confirm the price.

250 should cover 30 clones and start them off then u can veg a little longer in the next stage, good luck problem is u only have 2x2 ft of space, not much room 2 grow but up u could probly run 5 rows of 6 in gallon pots but they mite take over the space, peace
