I thought I'd share this little gem of a deal with y'all. I was about to order from J.R. Peters directly, but shipping was almost $20 extra bringing the invoice total to almost $80. I was shopping on grow green mi for some flora gallons that were cheaper than I could find anywhere else, and I ran across their listing for jack's. I didn't pay it much attention until I saw the "free shipping" icon. 25# for $57 and a little sales tax? Sold! I recently setup 3 32 gallon trash cans with an auto fill from my RO output via float valves and line splitters. The problem that lead me to wanna jump back into Jack's is maxi keeps trashing my reservoirs after 48 hours. Weird white funky stuff precipitates, and it's causing me lots of headaches. Dumping reservoirs is incredibly wasteful and time consuming. I'm doing a lot of that lately due to maxi. I never had any issue like that with Jack's, and it's cheap as can be. Anyhow, if anyone else is looking to stock up on some jack's grow green mi has free shipping and the lowest price around I could find. Ebay and Amazon are $20 more for the same 25# bag. Scoring a nice stock of professional grade fertilizer for the garden on the cheap is the bee's knees baby ;)

I'm pretty dam excited to be able to hold reservoirs again without the whole tamale going bad in 2 days time. Shit is very time consuming.

I make the drive to Grow Green anytime I need to buy anything. They're so much cheaper than stores around me and I'm only 35 minutes away.
They rent $15k trimming machines by the day dude! That place is like the rolls royce of garden shops. I'm a little jealous you're that close. I'm 1.5 hours away, and I hate driving with a passion. In the past 8 months I've probably driven less than 100 miles. People on the road make me nervous.

Good deal. I bought a 7# bag offa the Bay for a trial run with Jack's. Gonna have to get that 25#er.
So far I'm liking it more than Canna's coco line.
Let us know how it goes brotha! I ran jack's before. Never had a problem. Due to my inexperience I thought "cannabis specific fertilizers" were going to increase my yields or something. Maxi didn't increase my yields, but it did take a lot of my money. And require me to dump several reservoirs. Long story short I'm off of cannabis specific nutrients for life. Just Jackin it from here. I get fucked a lot less :)

I moved to Jacks bloom 10-30-20 for flower. I love it. I haven’t moved veg rooms to jacks yet because they look so healthy. Is this 25# bag fine like sand or is it bigger chunks?

The bloom is like fine blue sand and it dissolves immediately. I’ve had the cleanest res since switching but I do get some white chunks with add backs that I think is gypsum precipitate.

Driving is awful, so I don't blame you there.

Smooth like sand. Tan looking.

Ive run through 2 25# bags and all have been fine.

My first bag 4 years ago made a yellow gatorade color. The second bag i got 2 years ago made a brownish color.

I talked to JR Peters and they said they changed colorings or something. Not sure why.

Jacks is the best...i run 2 big RDWC and my nutrients cost for the year is less than $50.

I make stock concentrates 100:1

I feel like I get a better mix with Jacks using concentrates. Plants react better using 240g at a time rather than a few grams

It is hands down an inexpensive quality fert. I am at like 50c a reservoir 40 gal ebb and flow. And I paid 40$ for the 10lb bloom just to see how it performs. Even the 10lb will last me a year or more at this pace I use so little. I only run like .8ec and the ladies are bumping. The 10-30-20 is all on one and simple. I do add cal mag and silica but probably don’t have to.

Well, par for the course for me is to do things wrong the 1st go so, I did the right thing and tossed some seeds in 3yr old used coco that's been dry the whole time. Didn't flush it out, just hit it hard with calmag and cannazym. I'm measuring Jacks by volume instead of weight while keeping the 3-2-1 ratio and diluting that down to the PPMs I want. I haven't used any calmag yet during this grow. On top of that, my tap water + Jacks comes out to 5.9 PH.
I currently have the happiest plants I've ever grown.
Zero complaints so far and that 25# bag is on it's way.

As much as I've learned to dislike Canna's coco line, it did help this noob stay in the game. Soil had me flustered and about to give up.
Would've switched to Jacks a long time ago had I given myself credit for successful grows instead of Canna. :eyesmoke:

Grow Green Mi is all I use anymore. What I really dig about this place is they deliver anywhere in Michigan for $50, I don't have to drive 120 miles roundtrip or handle it, they just show up and drop the pallet my garage, plus yes the prices cannot be beat. I had this delivery a couple weeks ago.

Dude I have a small tub of the 10-30-20 in my garage I bought like 6 years ago. Still sealed and everything. I will give that a try in the flower room to see how it performs. For some reason I just assumed it was for soil, and I never thought about it again. If it goes well I may get a bigger bag of the 10-30-20. Good action man :)

It's inspirational to know not every hydro store in the world is out to shaft their customers. My friend in Missouri turned me on to grow green. Never even heard of them until about a month ago. Great people. Great company.

Might have to give Jack's a try.
I've been messing around with GH flora trio lately, and after having more headaches and issues than ever before, I just switched back to my Calimagic/Megacrop feed.

Looking at pictures from a year ago, I'm not sure why I even switched now.

Heard nothing but good things about Jack's.
Definitely on the "must try" list @ that price.

Thats one heck of a price for the Jacks!!

If you're planning to use the Jacks in hydro, then you want to mix the Jacks with calcium nitrate and magnesium sulfate in a 321 ratio.

3 parts Jacks with 2 parts Calcium nitrate, and 1 part magnesium sulfate. This is by weight.

BUT - you must mix them in a 3 1 2 order or you will get a precipitate that will mess things up.

I mix up concentrated amounts of each part and store them in 1 liter jugs per the ratios above. You can do any size jug you want. In other words, I add 60 grams of Jacks to one liter jug and mix until dissolved. Then add 40 grams of calcium nitrate to the next jug, and 20 grams of magnesium sulfate to the last jug. Store these out of the light in a cool place. You can mix up stronger concentrations if you want. I run very low EC levels, so I dont need much for my aero system.

Add the jacks to the rez water first and allow to fully mix. You want to add enough to get to about 60-70% of your final EC level. This will drop the pH some.
Then add the Magnesium sulfate and let it mix very well. This wont change EC or PH.
Then add the calcium nitrate very slooooowly and allow it to mix well. If you add it too fast you may get a precipitate which will mess up your nute ratios. This will also lower the PH a bit and increase the EC about another 30-40%.

Then PH to your desired level, and add any chlorine, etc as you choose.

I tend to add a bit more of the cal-nit and mag to my rez because Im running LED lights. This is the equivalent of adding cal/mag. It helps with purple stems.

I love GrowGreen and miss living close to them. Thankfully they do deliveries to the UP once a week so I can still get my goods. :)

I've stopped adjusting the 321 ratio at all. I've found that as long as I keep my pool shock treatments up there is plenty of extra calcium available and I don't end up adding more nitrogen.
