24h vs 18/6??

I'm about to start growing again after a break for a few years. I was wondering what the benefits are of doing 18/6 are over 24h in veg other than the obvious savings on power? I would presume you would also loose 6 hours of light that they could be getting and plants taking longer to get to where they need to be before you could flip them? Any info would be appreciated!

My plants only get to sleep when I decide it's time. I just do 24/0, then straight to 12/12.

isnt that stressing the plant ? or you find better resaults in 24 hrs light ?

also can you tell me what u growing in ? soil, hydro
It's just the way I do it. It doesn't stress them.

And I'm growing in soil. I started with FFOF and have turned it into no-till. Only organic nutes for me though. Not that there's anything wrong with that, lol.

I've always gone 24 then 12/12, I just have a few friends that do 18/6 and they always have and it also said on the Canna feeding schedule to run 18h light in veg, think I'll just stick with 24h. I'm growing in coco plus.

I personally prefer 18/6 in veg think it’s good for plants to have a rest from intense light but in same breath have also done 24hr light as cheaper for me than running a heater during lights out

Ive tried 24 but i found with 18/6 the plants grow just as or nearly as fast but they switched into flower faster from 18/6.

Give both a go and decide which one suites. No wrong answer with this one IMO. Handy having the lights on all the time for gardening but then the costs may be higher.

It's a highly debated topic, but you're wrong man, 24/0 is best, lol.

Seriously though I think there are positives to both ways.
