240v light controller with QB and HPS questions

I just got a set of QB 120 boards to light up a small dark spot between 2 1k HPS's and i also bought a wire(female/male/male) to connect the 2 boards but it dims them when i do that. So i figured ill just mount a receptical on the frame im building for the 2 QB's and plug each board in individually to it.

I run a 240v 30amp 4 plug light controller for the HPS's and want to plug the QB boards in with them so they all come on together. I plan to run a cord from the light controller to the receptical on the QB frame and plug both QB boards into the receptical.

Does this sound right or is there a better way to do this?

I think that the drivers on the QB's are rated for above 240V so it would be possible to connect them to the same circuit as your HID.

I tested it all out quick before i go to install and it works.

When you hook up 2 QB boards together running off 1 driver is there a way to do it without losing brightness as if you were running just 1 board?

The only way would be to wire in series-just make sure the driver has enough voltage to power them both .
