How close to switching over to flower am I at this point?

Info:
Original Master Kush plant
expected yield (package) up to 750g indoors / 1000g outdoors @ 1m^2
Flowering expected to last 8 weeks (not 7-8wks) and correct me if I'm wrong, +1 week for transition to flowering?
Lights are best at 10-14" (Good quality LED's)
Tip to tip width the leaves are 9", and the bud sites or whatever they're called span about 7"

8.5" / 24" @ 7wks flat doesn't leave much room for error if it will truly double in the next 8-10wks

I cut the 6 lowest nodes off then finally removed the last of their sun leaves so it's now 1 main stem FIMed at the top (three wks ago) & :
that plant from the lowest bud site to the top is 4 1/2"
so 6 main branches (4 FIMed) + the top with a FIM.
the main stem has 4 pairs + the top (FIMed). (Just about to stretch the 4 pairs at the top to 3-4" in height probably in 1 week)
the 4 lowest each have 2 pairs + the tops (all FIMed)
the 2 in the middle are them self + whatever grows under untouched shitz.

If you are concerned with space, have you considered supercropping? It will be a little difficult since you under filled your buckets so much but it is worth a shot. I have had great success with it. You could switch to 12/12 now if you wanted. The plant will at least double, if not triple, in height so supercropping would help you out a bit. You will need to wait to switch at least a week after for recovery though.

Here is a link with great info if you are interested

so supercropping makes all the small sites under the tops become their own tops?

I thought they already would be where buds grow since they technically aren't any different than the main stem branches?

The undergrowth from the bottom FIMs look great, but the tops aren't all 100% recuperated. The plant is 8.5-9" at the top when fluffed, I'm thinking <10 days until switching.

It's 9" this morning. I'm going to switch @ 11-11.75" I'd guess around the 18th-21st
It was 8" 4 days ago. I definitely want another 1-1.5" though

Since its mostly indica I'm contemplating waiting until it's a little larger since someone pointed out that it may only stretch like 6", but looking at it and the way it's pruned I think it wants to stretch more.

Sorry this is a super late reply. When you super crop you essentially lay the plant on its side. If you do this along with FIMing the main stem it tells the plant to divert it's energy from upward growth to the main stem and focus growth to the side shoots. Eventually several colas form at a slightly shorter hight instead of a single tall cola. If that makes sense.
It is super interesting and a lot if fun if you are any kind of science nerd like myself. It also allows you to make the most of your space and get to best yield you can.

About 2-3 weeks into flowering. I'll hit a pic in a few hours. Accidentally spent a month in red spectrum light at non-flowering hours so it grew like 2" in a month.

I'm going to tilt & rotate this plant around sorta on an axis since it is in flowering and I sorta missed the supercropping option in veg.
Please divulge more info about this super cropping..muahaaha

I want like 200% increase in bud size in the last half of flower. What do you plan when pushing the plant at the final stretch?

I don't plan anything. Just try to keep it healthy and alive till the end, and she'll produce as much as she can for you!

In my experience, the buds really pack weight on in the last two weeks, which is why things like flushing make no sense to me because flushing will stress/starve the plant in the last weeks when its really packing on weight.

Just keep doing what you're doing, she looks like she's got some pretty colors there...

Good luck bub

When people flush they use water only. It's to eliminate chemicals that they've been using. That is all flushing is.

It's grown 0" vertically since starting to flower.
Probably around 10-15% of the pistols have changed color from white.
That whole strain burning in the background burned out.. Whoopsy-daisy

It's been 9 weeks and still almost 100% white pistols. The strain in the background looks like it will recover, unknown whether it will be a male or female.
The plant grew .5-1" since switching over and from the looks of it will take 12+ weeks to flower. I think it may be the bucket.
