24 light 24 dark for budding? 48 light 6 dark for veg maybe??

anyone ever tried a 48 hour light 6 hour light schedule or anything other than 24 hours being one light period im thinking like maybe 28 light 2 dark does it have to add up to 24 hours a day i know this may be kind of confusing but for any one that knows what i mean let me know if youve tried it or heard of it cuz id like to try it because i know 24/7 isnt always the best because the plant needs some resting time but what about maybe 24 light 24 dark while budding would that work? seems like there are plenty of cool variables that could change growth

I was wondering about 10/10 for budding as well. I've never tried it or heard of anyone doing it, and don't know what timers to use for this either. If you try it please post your results
