24 hour light ??????

hello right i have some seeds they have cracked and i have just been reading other posts on here and just wanted to no is it worth me leavin the light on them for 24 hours does it make a differnce??? or is it best just to stick to 18 hours on and 6 off ???? and im puttin them straight under a 600 watt light any help would be great thanks

18/6 is fine 24/0 is a waste of electricity in my opinion. plants dont get 24/o light in nature so i personally think there is no need. i do 24/0 light on newly cut clones for 2 days then put them on reg light schedule.

just these r very important factors when tryin 2 get a good crop
ive killed 75 clones by just sticking them under a 6 and just leaving them
when i came back the room was 89f
and the clones had all been bleached by the light
a very sad day lol
but a good lesson learned also lol

i have grow from seeds before but i have never put them straight under a 600 i had a cfl light but that broke and just wanted to no if they could go straight under my main light

I follow the 24/0 light schedule for all my grows and the reason is that the plants will grow at least 25% faster with the extra light time in vegetation.

I just finished one of Ed Rosenthal's book and he is a big advocate of the 24 hour light cycle.
