I am looking for something I can afford but will work also. 20x20 ok to heat with a propane garage heater? I am going to have ventilation. I am going with 8 lights. 3 on each side two in the middle. I will have it on a thermostat. I have thought about baceboard heating,a minin split which I do not want to do and a 1500 infread heater which I do not think will work. I have some cold winters here so am thining propane for long term and cheapest. any help is great.

Hope you have a Killer Humidifier to fight the dry air of the heater.

Are you thinking one of these? I have one in a garage. It's quick and works well but does have a yellow flame which indicates incomplete combustion. I keep a door or window open, and use a carbon monoxide detector and recommend that one be used with this heater. Also the controls are manual and not adaptable to external controls without some hacking/modification.

Or maybe one or two of these? This blue flame heater burns more efficiently and can be operated in closed areas as it gives off mostly carbon dioxide and water vapor with little carbon monoxide. Some come with an internal fan, some have external fan as an accessory, some have no fan. (I don't have one of these so don't know about the controls)

Just wondering what type of propane garage heater are you considering?

Good point there are 3 types of gas burners no vent-B vent-direct vent. op needs to say what he is using before any legit answer.
