Shit, looks Like I gotta get on that PM ASAP, I got a serious spike. I dont care which, but I need the mixture right... 3% peroxide, 30% milk? Either or, gotta mix it first thing in morning after cold weather, not sure how the cold temp would affect spray, so Im gonna do it in the morning... good weather after tonight. Help me out peeps. Any and all advice taken. Im sure with you guys there is no wrong answer, just diff methods. HMU.

1 quart 3% h202 per gallon of water. And a good bud wash after wet trim of fan leaves. I have pm every year and it never returns after washing drying and curing

I would double check the stems to make sure you don't have any borer holes. I had them bad on one plant last season and it basically stopped growing after the first week of September.

ill double check tomorrow but I haven’t noticed them on anything yet so far

Hi Mass, I'm just north of Portland and the cold weather is really finishing off my early girls and kicking my late bloomers into gear. Everything seems to be right on time. And looking AOK

This year I'm growing completely organic direct in ground from seed planted on April 8th.

OG Kush 7' tall and 6' across. First week of October harvest.

I wouldn’t harvest these yet but that’s my opinion. I think that your buds will swell much much more

Still not sure how chop timing will be here. Last year I just had the three World of Seeds Afghan Kush in pots and could bring them into my sunroom easily - and in fact did bring them in permanently on Oct 4th to keep the caterpillars off of them. Ended up chopping them on Oct 9th, 11th and 14th respectively.

This year both Balkhi look to be a week or two ahead of where the AK were last year, and the Waziri are just hard to figure out - both are still stacking, but I did see some amber trichs on a pistil from one of them when I looked in the microscope just for chuckles yesterday. But the calyxes are still bulking up. Add to that the fact that there are two rather different Waziri phenos - one squatter and more Indica-looking and the other leggier with more space between flowers, and I’m pretty much flummoxed LOL

I will say I’m doing a much better job of managing the caterpillar problem this year than last, which makes me more willing to push the envelope a bit. Temp got down to maybe 40 last night, and the plants have had zero reaction except for some purpling of leaf veins on the tips of the Balkhi colas.

PS was that a 30% milk solution misted on? Ive heard that is one formula, and I have seen a few spots here and there, but I just cut them out. So far Ive been able to hand inspect and remove, but in the case I need to spray them I hear that milk, or hydrogen peroxide, i think 3%, not sure so I guess my better option would be the milk. Whole milk?

I mix 1 part skim milk with 9 parts tap water and use a 2L pump sprayer to drench the plants. I've read any milk will work but skim has less fat so it may not leave as heavy a residue, not sure how true that is, this last time I used 1% because the sell by date happened to be longer when i was buying it.

I did spray with hydrogen peroxide and water a few times but to me it looked like the leaves didn't like it. The plants seem to have zero negative effect with the milk spray, doesnt even smell bad as you would think.

I wash all the bud in peroxide and rinse before drying so much crap rinses off.

My last harvest I washed the plants and it came out great. My last harvest I washed the plants and it came out great. The first wash was with baking soda/fresh lemon juice/tap water, then in a bucket of hydrogen peroxide/tap water, then rinse off thoroughly in the sink with spray nozzle. Hang in front of a fan for a few hours until dry then hang as normal for a few days.

You find some nasty surprises in outdoor grows. I had a fire salamander in a cola I didn't realize was touching the retaining wall next to it. I released it still alive. But scared me when my bud started moving. LOl. At least a couple buckets of clean water dunks are mandatory.

We had a family of black bears walk up our road, pass in front of our house, and head off into the woods behind our neighbors place. They are moving east.

Don't know if they like cannabis, but they do love bird feeders, chickens, bee hives, gardens, orchards, and open garbage cans. Between me and my neighbor, that's a 100% hit rate.

Sucks.

I'm going to have to put up electric fencing to protect some bee hives. Neighbors have chickens. Don't know what they are going to do yet.

My cousin had a black bear take one of her plants, throw it all around and trash it, then drag it into the woods. Where it was left to die alone. So they don't eat it, but they will fuck it up if they get bored I guess!

First, just an overall frame, Skunk Hero out front.

Cbog (aka cbitch): This guy is turning red faster, but somewhat smaller buds over all. Probably wouldn't ever grow this again as I just didnt love it through the entire process. Was given it for free as a nicely vegged plant so figured why not.

Skunk Hero bud shot: This has been going well, and the buds keep getting fatter and adding weight, not much red hair though which makes me think I have at least a few weeks.

Yep, we had borers infest a whole grow. Look for sawdust like piles at crotch of stem and stalk. If that's what it is , hmu and I'll tell you how we eradicated them.

Simple gently hosing off with water is ok. Here is what I do Get one 5g bucket of hydrogen peroxide solution. Dunk the braches and gently swirl rinse in another bucket or with a hose. Shake gently and line dry directly in front of a fan. Move to final drying location after that. Change water as needed. I never noticed any trichome damage and you don't have to smoke bugs and birds shit either. As long as the buds are forming I don't worry about pm at all I think its inevitable in the fall outdoor grow. Pm in early veg stage in the spring is another matter as it will hinder photosynthesis and retard growth. During flowering close to harvest not an issue in my opinion. Bud rot is the only thing that can totally ruin your harvest at this point , or screwing up the drying and curing which I seem to excel at.

Can use clean 5 gallon buckets, larger make it easier to wash larger amounts obviously. My last wash I used:

-1 box baking soda with the juice from 2 fresh lemons in 10 gallons water (18 gallon container). 1st Wash.
-1 cup 3% hydrogen peroxide in 4 gallons water (5 gallon bucket). 2nd Wash
-Rinse thoroughly in sink.

The only negative I noticed was the trichomes appeared elongated after washing, but they seemed all there and not damaged or missing. Probably have to be a little gentler.

If you want a lightweight, fairly durable covering, buy contractors plastic by the 20' x 200' roll in 3.5 mil from home improvement store or painters supply. About $40 here. I suggest the 5 mil though. About $70. Then just get "GOOD" double sided greenhouse tape. Build a frame or find an old carport frame with shot covering for cheap. 5 mil taped to it makes it quite rigid and durable. Be sure to securely anchor with a few mor stkes than you think you need. Good luck.
