Hey Burt, as a mixer of potions (hydro - Mega Crop) are you all organic now? Or do you still find use for other methods?
Since I switched to beds instead of 15gal pots I test small plants with megacrop before putting them in the no till. I stick them around the edges of the room to sex them and see if they're total crap before giving up a spot in the living soil.

I wish megacrop was around when I did chem, I would have used it for sure. I do notice a difference in the stickiness and fragrance of the flowers though. The living soil is still much better, easier and cheaper.

dude I lament all the time over the same thing, if I knew then what I knew now... but can't live in the past, and I look at anything I learn and share now, as a blessing... Not to be a nay-sayer, but I'd be weary of growing vegetables in there.. I've always found growing veggies indoors can attract pests more so than herbs and greens... that being said, companion planting with certain flowers works very well outside and I'm sure, maybe even in combo with veggies, could be more beneficial... and, as far as mulching with fans, etc.. I'm still working on my mulch game.. I'm primarily an outdoor grower, so this live soil indoors has been a real revelation and awakening for me!!
Yeah, I haven't been brave enough to pop any vegetables in yet, just using the black swallow soil's cover crop mix with a bunch more clover tossed in, so I guess I do have companion plants for a few weeks before they get shaded out.

My buddy did some living soil outdoor this year. It rivals most indoor, and beats the dispensary poop hands down.

Ya well like I said, I never want to discourage anyone from trying, and I'm sure there's info out there about what works best... I do know some flowers will attract pests away from your plants, but others could possibly just attract them from outside the tent to inside.. All about research;) And that's awesome, I had a friend who did the same. He "recycled" a bunch of used live soil from an LP we both worked at and stuck some blue dream, durban poison and cindy99 in... the durban got a little water starved, so finished early and kinda short, but looked fucking Primo and apparently knocked some people on their asses. lol I haven't tried it yet, but I love this soil, it's god.

I’ve kinda noticed that too. Wondering if it’s from all the new hormones there getting pumped with switching gears into flower ?
How's that TKNL5Haze coming along? I popped my Genius Thai x Tknl5H freebies.. a little leggy but they're coming along.. I'll post a pic of my 2 mutants from those 6 beans soon... one in particular has some very strange growth going on. lol hoping its the thai genes showing themselves... I love mutants!! can't help it.

Coming along great. each Pheno is looking better then the next. I’m actually really impressed with the frost production so early on. Especially when I compared to the Glukie breath. And I know she’s a really frosty strain. speaking of her I guess I didn’t post any pics of her...lol so focused on the TK‘s I guess.

most likely it is just that and the rush of available sugars...produced with the reduced available light or.. drop in light levels causing. shorter photosynthetic period. much like a pregnant mammal piling on the weight.

It is at this point (week two flower) that the plant has the fullest menu of available chemicals ready and at its disposal....this is partially due to the beginning of the necrosis period as well....the plant has begun to eat its self chemically and biologically(though it does not show plant health wise) but rather opposite is apparent....the plants look extra lush.....

Up next for the 7th cycle I’ve got TKNL5haze from Ak Beanbrains. I popped 12 TK beans and only found 3 ladies, so I decided to run one Glukie Breath from ThugPug As well. I gotta say I’m really intrigued to see how theses TKNL5haze turn out. I don’t know if anyone listens to the Potcast, but when AK Beanbrains was on he said some pretty bold statements about this strain.
Basically he said the TKNL5HAZE will cut through any tolerance issues one might have. He also said he got many reports from his testers that people would green out when smoking it. Guess it’s a huge Vascular dilator according to AK anyways. Guess I’ll find out. :weed:
Pics are of the Tknl5haze.

Thanks Dawg! I give all the credit to the soil. I’m more of an observer at this point lol, just gotta make sure the soil stays moist. I’m setting up blumat irrigation soon. So once that’s set up I don’t know what the hell I’ll be doing in the gardenbongsmilie
