2019/20 grow

I am back in the saddle again after taking the summer off. I kept a mother plant going all summer and took clones off it for the first couple grows.

I have been following @gr865 feed schedule as he had posted last year. 250ppm in veg and 350 in flower. My BlueLab PH pen broke and had to get a new one, so I bought a new Bluelab TDS/EC pen also. This is when I discovered that he was using the 500 scale on his TDS numbers and my pen from last year was on the 700 scale. MY BAD for not checking Seems I was underfeeding my plants last year. Good thing less is more. :) . Didn't have many problems and had a successful 6 harvests (perpetual).

Just to play around I had a friend start some seeds and clones while i was hunting for two weeks. As soon as I got back I put them in the flower room to see what would happen.(more or less 12/12 from seed). actually had 22 days from seed. In coco/perlite 70/30. 1 gal air pots. Watering 3 times a day/ 90 seconds (375ml x 3) roughly a litre a day each (12 plants) with about 2-3 liters runoff each day. They have finished the stretch, and not using as much so down to 60 seconds (250ml). I cant believe how big these sativas are getting in 1 gal pots. 5 Blue Cindy, 5 Budzilla, and 2 TPR clones.

The second table is full of clones from the mother plant. Triple Purple Rhino. Doing great, just put them into flower room Nov 7. The mother plant I put into flower room Nov 1.

Have 7 more Blue Cindy in veg room 3 weeks, and bubble bomb seeds just starting, only 3/10 so far. at their prices they better sprout.

I have found that lower is better. Timing of everything is the key, when to transplant, change nute strength, FLUSH, FLUSH, FLUSH, avoid nute buildup as best you can. I have been in the last few grows doing a mini flush with each rez fill. I add X number of gallons of RO to what is left in the rez, usually around 3 gallons, to get the ppm down then flush that remainder of the rez through the pots.
I have noticed that not doing a proper flush during the grow and then flushing at the end of the grow I get a lot of foxtailing.

how long between each new rez fill. I am only using a 25 litre rez and need to fill it every two days. i was thinking about a mini flush about once a week.

My 27 gallon rez gives me 4 to 5 days between fills when in flower. Mini flush as often as needed to prevent buildup. Even with a mini flush I still need to do a good flush monthly or I get buildup. Usually around the 5th week of flower, so have adjusted my schedule to fit.
