Tis the season to be jolly. This is my 2011 guerilla patch that i planted 6/15 and 6/18. seeds were started indoors beginning of May and have been growing under one large CFL (125 watt i think). I've got my cheesequake and qrazy train from subcool which are both unsexed as of now, and i've got a GH jack herer and kandy kush from RP which are fems, but have yet to show sex. All were topped between the 4th and 5th node, and the only problems i've had so far were a magnesium def. which showed up around the 4th week and really only affected my jack herer and CQ. This was taken care of with some epsom salts first then to prevent the problem i've been giving consistant feedings with BC cal-mag. For nutes i'm using FF grow big and tiger bloom along with cal mag. I also start feeding molasses at around the 4th week of flowering.
For soil i use shellfish compost with about 1/2 pro-mix and native soil. The native soil around here has a fair amount of clay, so i only really use the good topsoil and some of the sandier soil is nice to add for drainage. I dig decent size hole about 2 feet wide and as deep as i can dig til i hit the solid clay around 2.5- 3 feet down. Three of my holes are reused from last year, but i did break all the roots up using my machete and hatchet and re-amended the soil with new promix and compost. I had to put my qrazy train in a 10 gallon grow bag with a fresh soil mix. I planted the grow bag in an old ant mound which was covered in low bush blueberries ( my whole spot is covered in blueberries) and i sliced a bunch of x's in the bottom of the bag right before i plopped it in the hole so that the roots can grow into the soil and get they're own water if they get too dry. The soil is also very sandy in that mound so it should make for nice drainage.
The spot gets great all day sun from about 9-5 and it has a stream i have to go through on my way in, so i fill my water jugs there ( two 2.5 gallon tidy cat kitty litter jugs). I also plan on putting in a couple clones of lsd and ww from GH. I grow for my own personal use. pics. 1+2- QT ,3-CQ, 4- JH 5-kk 6- view towards the west. thanks for stopping by.:leaf:

went out to water the girls today and it looks like they took the transplant nicely. i always transplant them when they're wet, and give a nice watering afterwards with superthrive which eliminates transplant shock i find. The bug geta i put down for the slugs has been working wonders. My CQ was surrounded by slug slime and i counted over 35 dead slugs, and not one reached the plant. if i didnt put it down, i'm sure the entire plant would've probably been lost. upon inspection today i did see what looked like the beginnings of a male preflower on the CQ, hopefully its not, but if it is I'm gonna make the best of it and try my luck at a bit of breeding. i may just save the pollen though, and wait til this winter. There is 1 35-40 foot spruce tree that blocks a bit of midday sun, so i put my handsaw in my machete sheath and climbed it and thinned out a few branch at the top. It was sweet freeclimbing the tree and just taking some of the branches rather than opting to take the tree, or just leave it and lose some good mid day rays. Whenever i do any trimming or cutting out there i always make sure to clean up branches and trimmings and drag them under some dense evergreens, so they don't look suspicious from above. Gave them a small drink of grow big and cal mag today, but i didn't have my bottles on me, so they'll have to get a larger dose next week at some point. at this point i love the qrazy trains short structure, and tight node spacing. It has a nice dank smell to it although i can't put my finger on the smell quite yet. From what i can tell it seems to be querkle dom due to its stout structure, and i can see veins of purple running through the branches and stems( its not a deficiency) . The kandy kush has also impressed me. I think its probably more trainwreck dom due to its height so far. every branch on that plant has grown to the same height forming a bunch of nice tops. The jack herer is also getting big fast, and has a nice smell to it as well. can definitely see the sativa influence in the leaves on her. anyways heres a few updated pics.

thanks mae. yeah i have deer around, but with the abundance of fields and blueberries they never bother my plants. I just piss around my garden when i go out, and that seems to keep them away.(knock on wood)

Hey man or woman)! very nice! They Look gorgeous!!!! the soil is like that here in kentucky also I just came in for digging some holes. I can only go about 2 feet down before hitting bedrock so i just dig it out larger in circumference.
I have about 20 already so far out in the bush and one in flower indoors starting her 3rd week tomorrow. I hope this will be a good outdoors season here.

hey, thanks hobart. It sucks not being able to dig really deep holes, but i feel it beats the excessive watering i'd have to do with pots. Any particular strains u running this year? hows the weather been down there so far?

Well it poured all last weekend, and its been beautiful weather ever since, and the ladies have been loving it. I noticed today that the Qrazy train was showing female preflowers! very excited about her, but i have a feeling that the cheesequake is a male. It hasn't shown yet, so i still have my hopes up, but only time will tell i guess. I just gave them some plain water today, but next time i go out in a few days, i'll give them a good feeding with cal mag and grow big. They definitely gained 4 or 5 inches since I last saw them. Heres some pics.

Just found this thread.. fucking awesome seriously. Love to see some of that downeast scenery mixed in with the ganja. Its been some pretty good weather this season, I havent had a need to go water at all, I just do occasionally to feed the girls but in all honesty its been just the right amount of rain so far. I really like your dedication man and the tree climbing story had me cracking up, only in me right?

How big are those bags your using? looks like the ladies should have plenty of space for season. Everything looks really healthy and i like the tactics you've deployed.

Are you using the coast of me lobster compost? or the winterwood farm? I've used both and am diggin the lobster one right now, the composted shells kinda act as lime would so they've been balancing the ph quite nicely so far. Probably bad luck to bring it up but has the blackfly season hit your part of the state yet?

Hey thanks chronic, yeah the rain has been nice so far. I usually try to only go out 1 or 2 times a week, but its hard when you want to see them everyday and they're always on my mind. I've only got 1 10 gallon grow bag going, first time trying growbags, but i think i'm gonna like them. I use winterwood, except they don't make it anymore because they got shut down due to some bullshit. The coast of maine is alright, but it isn't like we have much of a choice. i find it has alot more filler and peat and shit in it than the winterwood. can't beat the price though. and yeah, i fucking hate those blackflys and crotchtails. they don't even seem phased by bug spray

Nice yea i used 7 gal bags last year but am rolling with 5 gal buckets this year just because im running an autoflower strain and anything more is overkill in my opinion. I had no clue winterwood got shutdown..kinda sucks i really did like there stuff but had to switch over since i couldnt find it anymore. Coast of me makes a couple products, they do have one that is compost cut with peat, and a topsoil version but they also sell(what i believe) is pure lobster compost. I added a bag of that and a bag of EWC to my mix this year and after letting it cook about a month its a simply beautiful soil. Also theres a local company called living acres that makes all of there compost in an indoor facility, I have a bag of there soil right now but have yet to use it, looks really good though, kinda on the pricey side got my bag for 12 bucks. If your anywhere near ptown tho some of the gro shops are starting to carry bags of locally made soil. Look into a permethrin spray, its really good to soak all your clothes, hats etc in and once dry is completely odorless. One application lasts roughly 6 weeks, great for repelling ticks which is one of my biggest problems. But then theres some bugs that like you said arent even phased, fuck em.

Keep us posted i really like what i see so far
