I was just wondering if anybody could tell me what the issue with my plants are? First I noticed the leaves doing this
View attachment 1290115

Then I noticed that one of them hermied on me so I decided to just chop'em. When I did so I decided to exmine the roots just to see what kind of condition they were in and this is what they looked like

Now correct me if I'm wrong but they are supposed to be nice and white are they not? I examined the soil to see if maybe there were any critters eating away at the root system but I couldn't find anything. Does anyone have any idea what could possibly be the issue?

It is quite amazing all the science involved not only in brewing beer but growing marijuana as well. Most people think you just throw some grain in boiling water with some hops, then throw that in a fermenter with some yeast and voila! you got beer. When in fact steeping temps as well as boil temps bring out different protein compounds that effect head retention and mouth feel as well as sugar molecule structures that bring out wanted and unwanted flavors. Same with MJ most people think you throw a seed in some soil add water and light and BAM! you got a plant. Little do people think about microbes and nutrients and photosynthesis and how it all coincides. And they say people who smoke and drink are stupid. What a load of crap! I guess they didn't watch the celebrity jeopardy episodes in which Cheech Marin won! Sorry if I'm just babbling but I just smoked some of my medicine for my back and I tend to think ALOT when I do. You gotta love how brewing and growing goes hand in hand! I suppose I should shut up now but before I do I have to ask you if you are related to the famous dogman Bob Hemphill?

I wish...lol. Funny, I have a tight of a Old Family male as you can get. The real deal. I have a bitch thats tight OFRN on her mom but my buddy has one of Floyd Boudreaux's...(these are from the deep dirty...FL and LA) males ( he is a MOTHERFUCKER).....one from before the fuckfeds killed his dogs....that he put another OFRN bitch.... These boys 'hog dog' these dogs. They breed GAME on the Boudreaux side.

Dats my baby girl right now...lol. She is at the end of her first heat now. I am gonna put BigBoy on her next heat. He is cool as ten fans....she is a dead game little bitch....lol. She would bite her shadow if it was too close. Its gonna be a fun day trying to keep her from killing him.

PM me a email and I'll send you a pic. Dont wanna muddy up Subs thread.

Question about PH and super soil.
(yeah I have done a search and you know i read these threads :)

My water PH fluxuates like a a mofo going as high as 9. I know the soil is amended to regulate the PH but I would like to lower it a little bit before watering, no reason to be THAT high. But maybe I'm not giving the soil enough credit, whats the thought and practice that other people are using to regulate ph?
also, I have a lot of PH down, and i know a lot of growers that use it with organic grows but I'm also not that certain about that either, any insight would be great.

p.s. I never had this ph flux issue in the past and its sorta a new learning curve, so all advice or knowledge is welcome.

What up sub! First off i would like to thank you for your expertise and experience in cultivating this wonderful plant we all love so dearly. I have been reading all of your forums and post and obsorbing valuable info like a sponge. I have learned tons! .I 'm going with your supersoil recipe in my next grow.I have a few questions I would like your expertise on.I followed all your instructions to the ''t'' except for the bat guano . I couldn't find bat guano for the recipe so i went with seabird guano 1-10-0.my first question is with using the sea bird guano with the npk of 1-10-0 + the fish bone meal 3-16-0 and blood meal 12-0-0 is that to much nitrogen for the full cycle? another question is with the bat guano you used a npk of 0-5-0 in comparison to the seabird guano 1-10-0 and with the fish bone meal 3-16-0 will that be to much phosphorus and potentially cause nute lock up of my micro nutrients ? Also i read that seabird guano contains micro nutrients in addition to the azomite which contains trace elements. Basically from your expertise will i be ok with this mix or have i just created a mix that will give me nute lock up in the future?

Subcool, I just wanted to say thanks for all the info. i am going to be growing outdoors this summer and your soil mix should make maintaining my plants much easier as i shouldn't really have to feed them any nutes... just water. I am very interested in a few of your strains such as ( Querkle, Qleaner, The Third Dimension, and Jilly Bean) but the area i live in has relatively hot humid summers and though i am relatively new to growing cannibus, some local growers have warned me that mould and mildew are the biggest crop destroyers in the area. Do you have any strains that you would recommend for my grow environment?

also... would it be beneficial to add some geo humis to this mix to aid in moisture retension?

ok thanks for the info. i will look into it. there are so many strains to read about... unless the breeders mention that a particular strain shows resistance to mould, i don't really consider it for growing. i don't see the sence in putting all the effort into growing something if it is going to be ruined by mould and mildew.

by the way, sorry to see you are a skins fan... i am an eagles fan myself.

yea... i feel bad for McNabb... he is a good player. i obviously wanted to see the egles win, but i would have liked to see him play better this year as well. As painful as it probably was for you to watch the 2nd game between the eagles and skins this year, it was pretty fun for me to watch!

Right now I am preparing to grow Barney's Farm Pineapple Chunk, and some freebees Dinafem Blue Hash, California Hashplant, Kannibia BNC Diesel. The freebees i just got lucky that those ones were listed as mould and mildew resistant. I have been wanting to grow some tga strains though...

thanks sub for this, I have purchased all the ingredients and I am waiting on the shipping for azomite and powdered humic acid, for some reason my local guy does not carry these. I transplanted some babies into 1 gallon plain roots :D
i am going with all roots for now because i cant find a local supplier for biobizz....does anyone know of a place in colorado carrying this ?

I went to a local hydroponics store and they dont carry powdered humic acid but they have a liquid version..would this still be ok?? Apparently they dont make blood meal anymore so i was wondering what would be the best thing to subside this with to get the best results???

I am not sure where you are located, but you can find the blood and bone meal in usual stores that sell potting soil. I got mine from home depot. They also have it online for like $5.00 or $10.00 dollars. (amazon, e-bay, etc)

Awesomeness ill try some hardware stores and see what they have to offer. I was also curious if it would matter if i use liquid humic acid rather than powdered??

Im around half way into flowering and was wondering if I topped off the 7 gal containers with some Super Soil would that have any negative effects. Someone please answer this. Its watering time and if i can i want to top off the containers before i water (as long as it wont harm my girls)
