Oh is THAT all....LOL don't worry, thats just standard Arizona shit :) If you want to do ANYTHING in AZ you have to do it in the most complicated way possible. All we can hope for is that we take steps (even baby steps) in the right direction.

So I sat down and read the whole thing. Some of it does sound pretty jacked up.

Is there any way to rewrite some parts? Is it too late?

The actual MPP initiative states it will be a distance of 25 miles or more to a dispensary before you can legally grow and plant count is small, which doesn't affect the experienced growers who can maximize their limits. Dispensary counts in other states is an indicator of how quick they can and possibly will spring up and force growers to be on outskirts or smaller towns to grow legally. I have already signed the petition and read the initiative and despite the grow limitations it doesn't hurt to pass the initiative anyway. You would have legal medical access (Fed doesn't see it that way but fuck em) which is just another stepping stone towards decriminalization in the long run. The fact so many states are adopting the "medicate" legalize vote and passing it is a sign of increased tolerance. Now we are hearing from more and more famous faces advocating for pot. Thats what we need to get the ball rolling.

Granted its not the best for growers because of the wording and legal stipulations but at least SOME will have the ability to grow LEGALLY and some is better than none. Just remember its a step in the right direction so get it going and go out and vote. One step at a time, can't go asking Obama to let us puff in peace without giving them a few stipulations to still "control" what we do with it...bongsmilie

I too agree that this initiative is bull.....Too little too late.....This is a God given plant...It is the MOST medicinal plant on Earth and only a few can use it.....Then the government gets to decide who else gets to use it for their ailments....BUNK.....It should be given freely to whomever can benefit from its healing powers not just a few....DISCRIMINATION from the start....Shoot this initiative down...It is no good.....Rewrite it to be non discriminatory and if you can't afford it then you can grow it. Not be forced to buy at astronomical prices because you live within 25 miles of a dispensary.....BUNK......What does this organization think we are here in Arizona a bunch of hicks? Wild out westerners or something.....Give the people the facts and they can decide.....Don't pamper the politicians.....That is all this initiative is a HUGE compromise with the powers that be.......Not what the facts and scientific studies say.....JMHO.........

Simmer down there, this is a big deal for a state like Arizona. You can't just throw away this opportunity, not to mention that over $100,000 has already been spent on this.

If the hippy inside you demands that you smoke a "god-given" plant and to fear government conspiracies, then vote for change.

Well said!!

Yes the initiative sucks, The criminalization of a plant sucks, Our whole "drug" policy sucks.

Thats why we need to take what little we can get and run with it. It isn't going to get anywhere if we don't start passing anything at all and just bitching about how it sucks to pay more or sucks to live further from a dispensary we wont get anywhere. How many years have people been fighting this horse shit and complaining and we aint got nowhere yet. Take what we can and keep stacking shit on it to better it and better it!!:eyesmoke:

This is by far the worst initiative ever written for medical cannabis.....This initiative reads like it came straight from a Cannabuisness owner's boardroom...You know the one who is going to be making millions running the dispensary....

This initiative is totally discriminatory in the way it singles out only a few of the conditions treatable with cannabis and leaves up to the state what else gets added yeah sure....Nothing will ever get added....

This initiative is totally discriminatory against the poor and ill....You HAVE to buy from the dispensary giving the owner millions of dollars and you CAN'T grow your own....What a nice shot in the arm for that dispensary owner....Unless you live 25 miles away from one then it is a special permit with approval.....Geeez this is a God given plant....For all of Mankind not just a few select with money.....You HAVE to be allowed to grow it yourself....Period....Anything less is discriminatory.....No money no medicine....Give me your money says the dispensary owner....

This initiative violates your God given right to privacy....Reports to the state government along with doses or usage and your name and address.....Geeeeez where did your medical privacy go.....To use a God given plant for your ailments and you have to report to the government when where and how much.....

You know there is some resistance from the conservative elite in Arizona to any legalization but you do not have a bunch of yahoos here either. We know the truth....We know we have been lied to....We know the benefits.....We know about the want for more money by business owners.....I know of many non profit organizations with board members earning millions of dollars....I'm not stupid.... We are more educated than MPP wants us to believe....Here's a challenge for someone....Find out who at MPP (they drafted this initiative) and see if anyone there has any interest in any other state in a Cannabusiness....Would prove to be interesting.....

All I can say is we need medical cannabis in Arizona for the sick....Not just a certain few sick but anyone who can benefit from it's use....That is a patient/doctor decision not the government.....We need privacy in our medical records......The government keeps track of too much of our lives that an invasion into our medical records is intrusive and unconstitutional.....We need to be able to grow for ourselves this God given plant without government intrusion.....All of this IS NOT possible with this Cannabuisness sponsored initiative.....

We need another initiative in Arizona cuz this one sure isn't going to cut it....This one will guarantee high salaries for the dispensary owners....Let me figure this.....Hmmm at $20/gm (what they get in CA at the dispensary) that would be $560/oz. and the limit is 2.5 oz every 2 weeks that would mean that someone who needs the maximum would HAVE TO pay the dispensary $2800/mth for their medicine.....For a weed they should be able to grow for themselves at home.....We only have one shot at this and if this one goes through we will be stuck with it.....This initiative reeks of Cannabusiness influence.......

Too many Arizonians know the benefits of cannabis and are anxious to get something legalized....Well this ain't it.......This will be a shot in the foot for this LONG overdue acceptance of a scientifically proven healer.....This is THE MOST medicinal plant on Earth....Let us not waste our vote on an initiative that will invade our privacy, set limits on WHO can benefit, and line the pockets of the Cannabusiness owner......

JMHO.......

Actually.....no. Fuck you guys.

I could give a shit less about your stoner ideals and if you think that the initiative is poorly written. Just because you won't be able to scam your way into getting a marijuana card as easily as you would in California, you gotta get in a fucking huff. Everything's gotta be one big god damn conspiracy doesn't it?

Well, as far as I'm concerned, those dispensary owners SHOULD be putting millions of dollars in their pockets. They will deserve it, as long as my loved ones get the medicine that I think will help them. Give them all the money they can carry for all I care.

I hope this passes, and I hope my loved ones get their medicine. Go to California if you don't like it.

when did anyone talk about scamming there way in there and bs like that.i dont know about anyone else but ive always supported medical out here probably before you dudes even knew about it and ive got enough medical issues and history and all that bs to be on medical.. we are stating that this initiative is a step down from what other states have down lately we have previous marijuana laws passed in favor of so why not go for the whole shebang:mrgreen:...straight up.. and don't come in here telling people to fuck off no manners there buddy people get hurt over shit like that.. stay chill i was just saying the way you presented yourself when you came into the forum seemed all commercial and i assumed you didnt read the whole thing it is a bit long and boringbongsmilie..no problems esse:eyesmoke::eyesmoke:unless you want them:twisted:
