In case anyone's wondering if a soil to hydro transplant with a fully rooted 20 in. plant is possible, well here's your answer. Yes! The big plant in the bucket was transplanted from soil and so far it's doing really well. In the pics the leaves are drooping a little but right now it's perked back up. It's doing good so far and the roots look good. I'm gonna transplant the one next to it later. What I did was I took a bucket of room temperature water with some General Hydro Bio Root mixed in and carefully removed all the dirt. I cleaned it off really thoroughly without harming the roots. The process took long but worth it. When the roots were all clean I transplanted it into the net pot with hydroton and then poured in my solution over it.
I did this cause I searched all over many forums and couldn't find the answer. A lot of people say don't do it. I wanted to know so I decided to take the risk. When I was searching there were others wondering the same thing but most of the replies were either don't do it or take clones and then plant in hydro. I could have killed my plant but I really wanted to know if it was possible.
