%20 humidity, can my plants do well?

The humidity in my closet is 20 percent, sometimes 25. My plants have always had problems and I am wondering if this could be why. I have deal and dying leaves. leaves that are folded upwards length wise. This isn't heat because one of my plants isn't folded up length way. Could someone tell me what symptoms I should see if humidity were too low?

Thanks

Oh Man, I came back hoping for an answer and no one knows what symptoms 20 percent humidity might cause, what I should look for when I am at 20 percent humidity?

if you have a low humidity, then do the plants dry out quickly? how often do you water?

I'm on day 41 of flowering and my humidity is a steady 20%. The leaves are healthy
and have plenty of crystals since day 20. I have read that the low humidity during flowering has promoted extra crystals. However, I have cut a smaller bud off my girl
and after a day it was smokeable already which is way too fast so I got a cheap humidifier to bring it up about 45% while drying, Hope this helps.

I water mine every two days.

If anything, low humidity might be good for their potency. Opioids are developed under high stress conditions. Salvia, Opium poppies and Marijuana produce more potent opiates in higher supply under hot, dry climates (most of the time).

sorry but salvia and marijuana do NOT contain opiates buddy....

20% is way to low especially for veg, yes it could be causing your problems. Ideally you would like the humidity during vegetative growth to be about 50-60%. trust me :peace::joint:

you're awesome, thanks. Can I just put an open bowl of distilled water in the room to raise the humidity?

Your humidity is way too low, even in full bloon 20% is too low,as somebody allready said, in veg you NEED ATLEAST 60%.

If your room is small you can increase humidity quite a bit by putting a 5 gallon bucket full of water with several air stones in it directly in front of a fan.

I keep mine in check at 48%. I found with my first grow, because I believed all the myths about low temps and real low humidity, that bud rot sets in. It was a lovely lesson to learn when I threw out over a half ounce of rotten bud.

Dont forget that if you get your humidity too high you will start having problems with mites and fungus knats; I love those little bastards!!

Lady bug's are our friends:mrgreen:,their like little hired killers & quick too,one of the best investments i made for sure,i bought 2,000 of them lil suckers & they wiped the floor with the spider mites asses within 1 week.

im having fluctuating problems with my humidity right now and im pretty sure when it drops the plants dont grow as fast... if you think about it marijuana is a plant that naturally grows in tropical, humid climates... sure they are a weed and grow in non humid weather too but I think that raising humidity is crucial, especially since low humidity raises temp too

would that method work while using a unprotected hps, i think my humidity is slightly low, but i dont want much water near my light..

A small swamp cooler makes a great humidifier. If you hang some cloth fabric in a way that it wicks up water and let a fan blow across it - you have a swamp cooler, in principle.
