setup:
2x4 tent
78*-82* temp
41-52 humidity
4 t-5 bulbs 2"-3" from tops
straight-up ffof (no perlite or lime)
3 gal. air pots

strains:
G13 blue og
barney's 8 ball kush
g13 auto pineapple express

18 DAYS FROM SEED!!

water from refrigerator door(filtered but not ph'ed) bubbled for at least 24 hrs with black strap molasses(@1 Tbsp/gal) for the past 7 days, only water before that.
two nights ago, while trying to diagnose my problem, i figured out the correct way to water! i'd been only watering just out from the base of the stems. i now started soaking the complete pot a couple times a week(after the pot lightens up), only been one watering but tonight i got to check'em out and zip them right back up!
now for the problem, canoeing leaves, burnt spots and tips.
the leaves look tensed up. (weed should NOT be stressed out, man) after reading about ffof having low ph and not having ph'ed the water, i'm thinking low ph. i read it would cause the leaf curl and thought maybe nute lock out would cause the spots.
this being my first "real" grow, i need a second opinion!

solution:
A)get ph meter, top dress with lime and water as usual.

B)get ph meter,transplant into pre-mix ffof,perlite,lime

C)get ph meter, eat bacon and watch what happens

please help my girls!!

fox farms ocean forest or happy frog? ocean forest is pretty hot out of the bag but it is phd from the farm. it does eventually shift in ph, some add dolomite before planting but a top dress or a dose of calmag organic from general organics might help you

You water the ffof with plain water the first two waterings then I'll feed about 1000 ppms I wouldn't add nothing it's hot enough what was they started in I'll start my in sunshine mix 4 for two weeks then put in the ffof~

What was they clones ? Cause you can't start seeds in the ffof can you I can't and I wouldn't cause burning it really effects the out cum of the final product they may pull out of it or go all the way but the buds are going to suffer I've burn my earlier grows the first time I would feed the ffof cause I would feed them to soon or too many ppms when you do this the roots get damage and the plant never the same ~

lol. not clones! i started these in the ffof, but i'll start different next time. maybe you can't see the problem area very well, idk. they are doing amazingly well, just wanted to catch any probs eary! i COULD be paranoid. the leaves look a little tacoed and a couple burnt tips in the new growth. started reading about ffof, found it was consistly low ph out of the bag and thought i better get some pics up for some opinions. really hoping for some suggestions!
thought i could transplant, into a pre-mix and fight the compaction and ph problems of the ffof. any thoughts???

i'm waiting till tonight and transplanting into my pre-mix unless told otherwise. i mixed 4.5 gal ffof, .5 gal perlite, 4 tbsp dolomitic lime. watered it good, so maybe the ph will settle a little before transplant. the pineapple xpress(not transplanting) is starting to put on some white hairs so i hope to flip the other two, maybe next week??? any thoughts/suggestions/criticism anyone??

If you water with just plain water they may just straighten out by themselves can you transplant to the larger 5 gallon air pot cause the 3 gallon only has 2.2 gallon of actual dirt and 5 gallon has 3.6 actual gallons I was looking at them but for 6 pots it's almost 70 bones I'll just put holes in my bags  The only thing I would of skip the 3 gallons and went straight to the 5 gallons can you transplant with the air pots I use the 3 gallon bag but they actually hole 4 gallons~ 1 gallon sunshine mix 4 I start'em in for 2 weeks and then 3 gallon of ffof so I get 3 plants out of each bag of ffof I would transplant if you can with just plain water!

For next time: 40% FFOF, 40% Happy Frog, 15% Perlite and the last 5% a mixture of worm castings, bone meal, bloodmeal and dolomite lime. That mix is good for 28 days with no nutes needed.

well, my mind has been changed yet again. both the 8 ball and the blue og are supposed to be 55-60 day strains, so, tomorrow will be day 21 and they will be introduced to the 400w for 12 hours!!:blsmoke: hope my original test run holds true! test run, with fan full on, was holding around 78*-82*. pe has white hairs on a lot of the nodes, i know the 12/12 will slow her some but she's ahead of the others so maybe they'll harvest close. lights out at 12am, thinking i'll flip and see what happens. any reason not too? they are showing a little stress but not too bad. Is 3 weeks from seed too early?
thanks for the recipe, i need to do some more studying on pre-mix recipes!!
