2 week old seedlings drooping leaves

Hi guys,

I need some help with these seedlings, I've been looking at every faq I can find, and it sounds like its from over watering, but I'm just not sure. My system is both drip and DWC.
The drip comes on for 30min then off for 4 hours. They all have roots in the res and I have two big airstones and 6w air pump.

Everything to me seems in order, just not sure why they're starting to look unhealthy

Can you guys take a look at the pics and let me know what you think.

Some stats:

Growing 4 AK48's in a Ecogrower.
12 gallon res, 286ppm including 170ppm from tap water. 5.8 ph
temp is at 76, water temp at 71, humidity 31% lights on, 45% lights off
I have a 400 w HPS and two 125w cfls
HPS is 16" from top of seedlings. The cfls are 3"

Thanks much

try turnin the drip on for like five or ten minute intervals every hour or more spaced out intervals.

Do you have a air pump? It almost looks like their roots are sitting in still water. Also spacing out the drip timing is better. You need to buy your self a digital timer if you haven't yet.

People say make sure you have a timer and people go out and buy one but most buy a pin type of timer and not a digital. The problem with pin you can't set it to turn on at lets say 12:00.01 AM or w/e. Also pin timers aren't as accurate as a digital timer because the pins hit an inside switch and say you have it set so that your lights turn off at around 8am or 10am or w/e your lights might come on 10 to 20 mins later then that.

I do have a airpump, two outlets going into 2 large airstones. I think its getting plenty of air/bubbles.

I've got a digital timer, I was told before to have it on for 30min, 2 or 3 hours off.

What Im thinking of doing is to turn off the drip system, since they all already have roots in the res. I'm worried as the roots in the net pot could still dry out. They're all in root riot starter plugs and seems to keep its moister well

Should I turn off the drip? Is this a dumb thing to do? not sure. This is my first grow in hydro

Just readjust your digital timer and see what works and what doesn't but do the 5 to 10 min on and and the rest of the hour have it turned off. Adjust the timer as needed. MJ plants can handel alot of abuse.

Thanks for the reply. I Just set it to 5min. on 1 hour off to see what happens.

My main question is, whether you guys think it is even a over watering issue? Could it be nutes or light/heat? My ppm is pretty low and I think its not nute burn at least.

anyone have seedlings that looked like these? what was done to resolve?

Really appreciate the help guys, I have a few medical MJ users counting on me

Any idea on how long it should take to see a turn around? its been almost 8 hours, and Im not seeing any improvement

You need to provide more info but also some times it takes more then 8 hours to recover depending how long its been going on for but also if it was in a dark time then it's not going to be perking up when there's no light for it to use.

Well, its not getting worse, but not better either. I ended up stopping the drip, just because I think the root riot plugs get too drenched and suffocate the plant.

I have the water about an inch below the net pots, so wouldn't the roots from the bottom of the plant to the bottom of the netpot dry out with out the drip?

How do DWCs not dry out, which is basically what the Ecogrower is. I'm worried about them drying out, and even when I leave the drip on for a little, they droop more. So I'm kind of stuck here.

Any other Ecogrower users out there?

Can anyone help? I dont think its over watering/lack of DO anymore. What deficiency could cause the leaves to droop? Its slightly worse now then the pictures I posted. Can a expert on here tell me what else to look into?

Appreciate the help

Do you have air stone(s) in each of the buckets? If not you need to put some in each bucket.

Its a GH Ecogrower, basically a 17 gallon bucket with 6 6" net pots. I have two airstones in there, each going to a 40gal rated air pump. about 7w total in air pump power

What kind of air stones are you using? Do you have a pic of the air stones?
