Hello everyone.

Just stopping In wondering if anyone has had experience with a two week dark period at the end of your flowering cycle to basically make the plant put everything into the buds? Just curious it would be way cool if that worked.

If anyone has experience or can point me in the right direction that would be awesome:weed:

That's been a debate on here many times. It depends on strain (White Widow being one) and the dark period isn't for more than 72 hrs.

72- hours .... it's 72-hours. People will say 24-hours and 36-hours and 48-hours and now two weeks, but for some reason they never seem to get it right. Shorter length periods of time will not max out THC production and plants cannot continue to live and produce in longer periods of darkness.

72-hours.

Yes it works to some degree or another, up to a 30% in crease in THC in some strains. That is UP TO a 30% increase in THC in SOME strains, NOT in all strains, it is NOT across the board.

It is still worth doing even if a strain someone grows will not get as large of an increase in THC as others might. Considering all we do and all we pay for in the quest to squeeze out every last bit of THC production possible it is only logical to finish plants in 72-hours of darkness even if someone only ends up with a 2% increase or a 12% increase or a 23% increase when what is done is free.

Each additional percentage increase is a bonus, a plus, but do not expect finishing all plants in darkness to turn every single strain into wunder-weed.
