2 tap roots?

i planted a few seeds without germinating them in a pot and 2 plants poped up
i pulled one out and broke the tap root, and planted in its own container. will it produce 2 tap roots kinda like when i tip a plant?

every time I've really damaged a tap root the seed didn't live

Not really, it is not a tree it may have a somewhat dominate tip but its growth is not built on axial buds. They penetrate the outer wall from the inner cambium of the root.
