!2" RvK with 8" filter....?

I got a 12" RvK (1300m3/h) but I only have a 8 x 4 x 6ft tent (432m3/h).

If I use a 12" to 8" spigot reducer and connect this fan to a 8" carbon filter - and use an SMSCOM single fan speed controller to hold back some of the power - will there be problems....?

There is no guarantee at what % you will be running that fan at.

I'm presuming your 8" filter will be around 1000m3/h of throughput.

Now on paper it appears as though it may very nearly be there on matching m3/h of the fan and the filter but in reality its putting your hopes into a speed controller.

Lets say controller fucks up and you have to connect without it. Your place stinks because the air is moving too quickly over the carbon bed.

Unfortunately the only true way to know how it will or won't work is to do it and make sure you keep an eye on any smells.
