2 questions

1: I am getting 2 clones and I want to grow them out then top them both and sea of green them. I am wondering if I can take the topped cutting and keep it growing like a clone cutting.

2: I am wondering about soil. Is there a good time release soil for sale at home depot? and would it last the whole 3 months grow? or should I go with soil less and add my own nutes?

you can use the topped part for cloning, just have to make sure the part you cut has a firm stem
i haven't cloned yet, pretty soon though
you can use time release soil - MG potting mix is the cheapest and many use it
i had problems with time release - chemical soils can burn! - i found organic much easier
