The world of indoor gardening was changed forever with the introduction of digital lighting. A new alternative to heavy, noisy, power wasting core and coil ballasts had reached our shores. Like everything new and exciting there is a downside. Many companies eagerly came out with technology too quick that has not been tested in real life gardens. Many of these ballasts cannot stand up to the atmospheric demands that gardeners put on their equipment. This has led to high failure rates amongst our competitors. These failures include RF (radio frequency) interference, burnt circuit boards, and faulty cord ends. Simply put, there are still many brands of digital ballasts that just don’t perform under the rigorous demands of today’s gardens.
Finally, the world of digital lighting is about to change in a big way. Quantum Series Lighting is now the paradigm of lighting technology. Quantum Horticulture analyzed the mistakes and failures made by others in their quest for digital lighting, and utilized that knowledge to bring us the best in high intensity illumination.
Even the heartiest variety of plants fed with the best nutrients will never express their true potential without the precious light that they need. As we all know, without the proper lighting and atmosphere, indoor gardening is futile.
The Quantum Series digital ballast has features not found with any other brand of ballast currently on the market. Every need of both the hobby and professional gardener has been taken into consideration when we were developing these ballasts.
One of the major factors that contributes to the purchase of digital lighting, is the increased power savings. The Quantum Series ballast is the only ballast on the market to offer you a dimming switch that enables you to run your ballast at the strength YOU desire. This not only makes it easier to harden off young plants just being introduced to HID lighting, but also allows you to control your footprint and power usage as well. You can increase the power to your ballast as your garden grows and demands more light, and save yourself a substantial amount of money on your power bill over the length of your crop cycle.
Another key point of these ballasts’ is they have no dedicated voltage. Switching between 120v and 240v is as easy as changing the power cords. Both, of course, are included with your ballast. There is no need to purchase any additional equipment or change any wiring.
Heat has always been the enemy of any gardening situation. We have designed our ballast with a resin cased circuit board that has been placed in conjunction with a sealed bearing fan. This combines the best of both worlds with the end result being a ballast that runs 15% cooler than any other digital ballast available. As with all electronics, the cooler they run, the longer they will last.
The Quantum Series Lighting is the only ballast that is FULLY compliant with Part 18 of FCC rules and regulations. This device has gone through rigorous testing in lab facilities that replicate the most extreme atmospheric conditions. This ballast can withstand the high heat and humidity that any garden can throw at it.
When you make a purchase for your garden, you are not just purchasing a random item; you are purchasing something that facilitates your passion. Great pride and care is taken in your crops, and the same pride and care has been taken by Quantum Horticulture to bring you this ballast.
Your new ballast can do the following:

  • Run at 100%, 75% or 50% power
  • Strike both Metal Halide and High Pressure Sodium Bulbs
  • Accepts 120v or 240v (Both cords included)
  • Allows 50 Hertz to 60 Hertz
  • Runs 15% cooler than other digital ballasts on the market
  • Has a Power Factor of 99.9%
  • The most stable output frequency of any ballast
  • Higher lumen output than magnetic ballasts
  • Light weight and care free
  • GENSET & FLIP – BOX READY

Not saying you can run a 400 or 600 watt bulb in them just that when you dim them it equals the equivalent of those bulbs

I was growing Dutch Passion Whie Widow and the flower cycle was about 12 weeks. That is why I quit growing it. Good quality strain, but I am not that patient.
