I have a nice big 5x5 tent. I wanna do 8 autos in 2 gal pots. Would 2 Mars hydro 2000 be too much light? That would be 650 from the wall

That could work. You would have an even ppfd. If it gets too hot in there or too much light stress you could always dim them down also saving some power. Maybe have an oscillating fan on them

I have one of them and it’s pretty damn bright but I think 2 would be good for some good sized gals. And so I can give them enough space as well. It’s also very tall tent almost 7 ft so I can always raise the lights pretty high

30w per square foot minimum for quality LED’s so ~750w for a 5x5. The Mars 2000 also uses Epistar SMD diodes which aren’t all that great.

What’s your budget? There are much better options out there.

Well I guess it’s all I know but I’m very happy with it, this is actually my first time. Feel like they turned out pretty good on it. That’s a big photo from it. That’s why I’d get another one but I’ve also been lookin at spider farmer.
Like Nuka said, there are better options for the money. But those will grow decent weed too.

What you guys suggest I can spend like 3-4 hundred on another one
4x HLG QB 96’s wired to 2x Meanwell XLG-240-H-A drivers. Would cost around $400 total. 2x of the the QB 96’s per driver. You have to wire them but it’s extremely easy. These are great quality lights and one of the best options to cover your 5x5 footprint with your existing light.

This would bring you up to ~780w total which is right where you need to be in a 5x5. You can hang your Mars 2000 in the middle with a QB 96 on each corner.
