Just thought I'd share my plans with you folk. I've put a lot of love and effort into the room by making it out of pvc pipe, and then lining it with visqueen, blah blah blah. I'll make a journal soon. And, sorry that the pictures are lame and on a camera phone, my digicam is out of batteries.

4 2 gal bubble buckets, 2 whisper air pumps, 1 4" computer fan for ventilation, 5.5" net pots, haven't grabbed my nutes yet, but i will later this week. 1 1" air stone per bucket.

here ya go! tell me what you think......

btw, i have a 150 watt HPS coming from ebay that should arrive about when i'm ready to flower, so booyah.

and! this is my first indoor grow.

QUICK QUESTION THOUGH: how much air bubblage should be occurring in the buckets? I have one that really just is lagging compared to the others, AND how often do people have to replace their airstones?

welcome to the forum. you can buy foot long airstones at meijers in the pet department, they have shorter ones too. You will need more ventilation when you put that light in. I'm sure you know that. VV

I definitely plan on throwing in another vent fan soon, but I'll see how it goes because it's a pretty cool environment (lows around 40º and highs in the 50ºs) so I'm kinda trying to build up a bit of heat anyway.

So yeah. I'll keep whoever is interested updated to the max!

I don't think you have enough mylar on those buckets...
Good job and good luck on the venting part.

I used aluminum tape to seal out the light... but then i realized that it would be easier to just use some visqueen around the bucket because it's light-proof.

anyway, i'll be putting a few drops of hydrogen peroxide to keep rootrot and algae from forming... hopefully

hope to hear form you soon with new advice.

Update....

Took out the soil plant from the room. Now the entire box is dedicated to just one plant. She's lovely, a little wispy, meaning she's not very dense. I have dedicated the 150 watt light and 5 CFLs to the plant, so i feel like it should be getting enough light. but shit, we'll see what happens.

I have two new clones.

A grape ape and Sour Diesel clone I got from a club, so the genetics should be pretty good. Way better than this clone from a random seed.

oh, i think it's a sativa, because of how its growing, and how the leaves are thin. Unless there is some other reason, like bad lighting or not enough of a certain nutrient.

Enjoy the pictures. I have a digital camera shipping to my house tomorrow, so get ready for some HIGH QUALITY pics.

Love always,
Alaric

Enjoy! I've managed to take some lovely photos.

my current grow is having some issues though.

I'll put just plain water into the buckets, where the ppm is like 230... and then, in 2 days, the ppm grows to about 1000.

wtf?

anybody have these issues?
