1st Time Try, how they look?

I came across two 400 watt ballasts for 25.00 a piece. These can even run a 1000 watt HPS per manual. So I grabbed them and used alittle Macgyver skills too rig a remote ballast. I used an old oven hood that has a fan which is running to draw away the heat. I bought a 400 watt HPS light. I spraypainted the underhood flat white to reflect better. All in all I spent about 75.00 for two ballast, light, wiring. Looks like the girls are loving it and the closet looks alot cleaner without all those wires. Much props to cfls though they got me this far.
Any advice on how far the light should be from them? I also have the other ballast for sale(one is all I need) so shoot me a msg if you might be interested.
*note* this thing is KICKING out so many lumens that the pics look like they are being taking from behind a blind.
**note** how often should I mist cuttings?

Any ideas on venting the hot air outta the room? My temps are around 86-92F. I have a box fan bringing fresh air in, box fan blowing on them and the oven hood fan draws the light heat away but the room still is too warm.
Also cuttings still hanging in there. not wilting or browning.

well the method i use isnt tooooo effective but has a little relief, use frozen watter bottles. it is a bitch replacing them every few hours but the temps do chill a little

I just tried with one 2 liter... I could feel the difference with the fan blowing the cooler air but it melted in a couple hours. So a continuence of 2 liters every couple hours. How many do you use?

So only one of the two clones survived and its the clone I placed in a peat pot. I dont recommend gel2root. the stem between the gel and the foil rotted away, which inturn killed the plant. I see tiny little roots sticking out of the bottom of the peat pot should I transplant now or wait for more? the roots are just barely sticking out.

So the girls really took off since I started using the 400 watt HPS light. Clone is looking good, roots are just barely breaking thru the peat pot. should I plant now or wait till they get longer.

If they have been heavily shaded it might not hurt to do 1/2 day sun and 1/2 day shade for a few days is it's possible. Looks like you might want to think about repotting them as well. If you do decide to repot use a little perlite to soften your soil. Looks a bit on the humis side. Also what color is ur roof. Black could get extremely hot. Might want to check the temp throughout the day to see the temp. Also don't set your container directly on the roof. Happy Growin

add a little bit to begin with then when theyre rocking around mid to the end of flowering start dosing them up, but use blackstrap molasses only as well as burned wood ass (potash) both good flowering boosters
