1st time grower wanting your input plz

hey guys ive got a few pots on my window ledge and a few of my seeds r starting there process ive got a 600watt hps and im wanting to know when will be the best time for me to place them under the light? And how low/high should the lamp be from the plants any info would be great cheers.

I would keep the seedlings under sunlight or flo's. a 600hps is going to be trickier to work with because of heat and the rapid change of light intensity with height. Move to the 600 when they have ok stems and a few nodes on their belt imo.

Just get a few cheap 6400k (daylight) cfls or keep them in the sunlight, keep in mind your gunna need some heat control for your 600w. I have a 400w in my tent above 2 mothers and i use a 100mm intake fan and the temps are at 80 degrees all the time.
