1st Time Grower ... Help Me With a Set-Up

Im newbie to the grow world. Gonna get a house or condo within the next month and was gonna be doing a lot of extensive reading about the process. Not growing to sell to a clientele or anything. Mostly going to grow so I can save about $500 a month from my own weed purchases. Have a couple family members and a few friends Im going to hook up for cheap, but thats only to pay for my elevated electric bill and supplies. Ive been on grow forums before in the past. Didnt do much searching, but I wanted to grow so I figured Id at least take a peak. So I know bits and pieces of information.

Lets just start from the very beginning.

Is there a preferred place to grow inside a home? I know closets are a good choice. I will definitely have a closet I can use, but I wont know the exact dimensions until I purchase a place.
Whats a good website(s) to buy things you'll need? Instruments to read levels in water and soil. Nutrients/soil. Any type of fertilizer. Greenhouse tents. Lightning. Pots. etc etc
I've read that the more UV radiation a plant gets, the more THC it produces? True?
Is types of lightning just a preference or does a certain type hail king?
What are some strands that may be more newbie friendly for a first time grower?


For all you growing extraordinaire's with time and experience on your side, in a few words what is something often overlooked that is important?

Not sound like a jerk but you can find most of this with basic searches.

Best place is inside a larger climate controlled room. HTG is a good place to buy. I think you can mix soil with stuff locally.

Lighting - loaded question. Depends on desire, investment, risk aversion, etc. I grow LED because there is no heat to manage, decent light penetration, and low energy pull. but it has high investment. HID lighting is the best, but bulbs cost ongojng, more heat, ballasts to fuck with, and more heat. CFL has its pros and cons as well.

Don't know about THC. Bottom line is light = yield.

Yea I know about the searches. Thanks for not being a dick. I understand how complex and complicated this whole process is. I was just trying to get some quick info.
I didnt know lighting was a direct correlation to yield produced. I wish I knew someone that could just "hold my hand" so to speak lol Or just mimic someones grow until I learn the ropes enough to branch off on my own.

Ill hold off on posting until I can get into a specific question and not so broad areas.

Exactly lol I want a house just for the simple fact that there wont be anybody else attached to my building. But a condo seems like it would be easier to get out of. Im moving about an hour from where Im from to a bigger city. I just wanna get lost in the shuffle, grow, and work my 40 hours. At the moment I live in a smallish town where everybody knows you. I dont want company coming over basically. Shits bout to get real

if you go condo i think you will want to start some practice on odor control setups
that will be your make/break problem, no odor probably no problems
that and whatever rights the HOA has of inspection, that varies quite a bit

you should check out grow bundles from some online retailers, they pretty much come with everything you need minus the seeds.
