1st time grow!!

Planted a few seeds couple days ago and seems like i watered the plants too much. All I have that's remaining is this 1 plant. First time... I have no clue wtf I'm doing. Looks alright tho. Using a 11w CFL from IKEA, regular tap water (@room temp sprayed onto the leaves and soil) 18hrs of light a day. Regular 'Miracle Grow' potting soil. 1x20mm computer fan. If there's anything else that I can do to help my plant that's really cost efficient, please lmk. Thanks.

Your gona need like 100watts of cfl per plant and try to get a ph tester

Looking good so far but yes def need more light as close as possible so it won't stretch.

get that plant the fuck out of "miracle grow" its a miracle anything grows in it! get some nutrients for sure, ph the water, get more lights and with cfls you want to keep them no more than 2 inches away from the leaf growth because it has terrible light penetration, you need a fan on the plant and what are your temps like? dont spray the foliage that only leads to mold unless your foilage feeding. also you might want to repot into a bigger pot later in life, how long are you vegging for? you might want to check out training techniques too like LST (low stress training) topping, FIM-ing (fuck i missed-ing) scrog, super crop, trimming the plant (lollipoping) just to name a few

deffo need more light tho im gussing your in uk as cfls from iker if you are Morrisons have some good 30 watt cfls for £4 might want to pop their and get at least 3

im just using a standard 4 plug soket its doing the job for me and if your close to a home bargains they do some light clip lamps makes it alot easier to get your lights close

OK. I added another light and put some reflecting material around the rim of my pot. Grow looks pretty good. But I noticed these 4 small veiny things on the edge of a couple nodes of the plant, does this mean that my plants are males?

lol no and tin foin not good paint some cardbord white and put it around it

Ya, dump the foil, get some white mate poster boards at you local stationary store, reflects much better than foil, or as cosmo says paint some cardboard flat white.

don't think you will know until you go into flowering stage.

The Wonders of what adding 1 light will do.I just added 1 more light to make it 3x11watt cfl bulbs@(2400k). The leaves used to be droopy and now they are getting pointy. Im guessing that's a good thing.

Heres another upgrade i made, just went out and bought some 100w cfl's today. Plant looking better as I go along. Thanks everyone.

Ok. I woke up this morning and saw that one of my leaf had a moist brown spot on it. Can anyone tell me what this might be? too much water?

This is my first time growing indoors, I'm having a little more luck now than i was 2 weeks ago when all my seedlings burned, I have one plant left that i recently just translanted into like a 3 gallon bucket, I am using really good soil, mixed wiith soil from outside(Theres more good soil than the outside soil) In the beginning my plant was stretching and had nodes very far from each other, I got the lighting down pat after reading a bunch of these forums, I am gonna keep uploading new pics and maybe i can get some feedback on wut i should or shouldnt be doing, also like i said all of seedlings burned, i had 12 to start off and now i only have one, that has been in the ground since 11-22-12 , (today is dec 14th) so i wanna know how to determine if myplant is male as soon as possible so i dont waste anymore time,

I have 3 100W cfls on my plant now,Ive had the 3 CFLS for about 4 days, before the cfls, i was using just a regular 120W bulb that spit out a lot of heat and is also why the first set of leaves are very far appart and why some of leaves burned slightly, it seems to have alot going on at the top now, (alot of leaves coming out at once) And advice, should i cut off the burnt leavves, ANY ADVICE
