I got a new crib and in it is a perfect aprox. 10 x 15' room that i intend to split and use both for veg and flowering, the only problems are that there are now windows or vents and that it is pretty filthy right now so for ventilation i was planing on cutting out 4 12 x 6" vents 2 near the ceiling and 2 near the floor and using fans to pull in fresh air from my bedroom which has plenty of windows, will this be enough ventilation? My other question is in the matter of cleaning it out what pesticides/disinfectants should i use to clean it out, i plan on covering the interior in reflective plastic anyways but just want to be sure. Any other advice is welcome as long as it is based on true experience!

bleach and water. 50 50 i believe but google it to make sure.

as for venting... are you planning on using a carbon scrubber for smell? and what are you going to be using for lights... if you plan on 1000w or more ur going to be roasting in your bedroom. i would look at venting into the attic and pulling fresh air from your bedroom. thus expelling the hot air out of the house.

Wow you have alot of work ahead of you. What I would make sure is if the walls are not painted then paint them. Use plain white paint that is mold resistant. The plain white paint would provide you enough reflection if you opt not to use mylar, panda film or foylon. As a disinfectant you can just use bleach and water, not unless you have proper ventilation in place wear a mask or you will get dizzy from the fumes. If you are going to divide the room for a perpetual grow make a solid division, I used plywood and made a door from a cheap screen door to make it slide. If you went with just curtains to divide the room well with all the ventilation you are planning on having the negetative vacuum would be pretty strong and may cause light leaks in your flower room if your division is just curtains. You can never have too much ventilation in and out. To get a minimum requirement multiply your existing room dimensions and multiply the height of the ceilings then match a exhaust fan that would suffice moving the cfm( cubic feet per minute) of the fan. Good luck with your project.
