1st Indoor Grow from Seed with LED (COB Cree CXB3070) GoGreenLED

I'm jumping in with both feet! I have grown out doors, but never in. I have reading here for a few months and have started my first grow. Any and all advise is welcome!

Here is my setup:

4'x4'x6'7" Grow Text
Go Green LED 450W 9 COB Cree LED
2 Home made 3 LED light holders with 1450 Lumens 3000K Home Depot Bulbs
( I had the parts and bulbs so I figured why not, maybe I can use them to veg later?)
Fox Farms Soil and Nutrients
5 Gallon Smart Pot Fabric container
Can Max Fan Mixed Flow Inline Fan, 6-Inch 334 Cubic Feet Per Minute Exhaust
Passive Intake (May add an Inline Can Max, but so far so good on temperatures)
Oscillating Fan mounted to the tent pole (Much Thanks to a post i found here - Awesome Idea!)
4 - totes and racks to get the pots up in the air to flush

Seeds: (practice and for the grow)

4 unknown bag seeds:
I planted these 4 days ahead of the Herbie seeds just to have plants to practice with for germinating, watering, topping and training. These seeds were at least 10 years old and I was shocked they even came up!

Herbies Seeds: (highly recommend - fast, secure stealth shipment!)

Current Status:

Bag Seeds:
All 4 seeds came up on 10/5 from the rapid rooters. Transplanted to 3 gallon pots.
Plants are currently 17 days old and can be seen on the edges of the tent in the pictures.
I have topped 3 of 4 after the 4th set of leaves and before the 5th set. They are looking great for bag seeds - IMO. But, I have no idea on their sex. Need help here!

Herbies Seeds:
All 4 seeds came up on 10/8 from the rapid rooters. Transplanted to 5 gallon pots.
Plants are currently 14 days old and can be seen in the center of the tent in the pictures.

Temperature and Humidity:

I am averaging between 76 and 79 degrees and abut 45% humidity with the lights on.
With the lights off, temperature is around 70-72 and 55% humidity.
The oscillating fan and inline exhaust fan run 24/7.

Light Cycle:

I started with 16/8 until the plants were about 3 inches tall. The light was 1/2 power.
Now it's set to 19/5 until it is time to flip. The light is full power.
Distance from light to canopy is 16"

Thanks! I followed your grow and only hope to do as well. I almost made a huge mistake and bought a Mars. After a few weeks of reading here, GGL was the logical choice. Indoor is completely new to me and I have a long ways to go, but so far all is looking good.

Awesome setup man. Looks great so far. Probably still won't see sex for a while, depending on when you flip. Males will mature faster so the longer it take to show after flip the better chances are it's a female.

It has been too long since my first post! I have much to learn for indoor growing and high intensity Cob lights. The plants are doing extremely well and I am very happy with the Go Green LED! The Money Maker and Krippling are virtually bullet proof. The Blue Dream are more much sensitive. I have been chasing my tail on either a light bleaching problem or a Cal/Mag issue. Or I am way off and it is something else? I've attached a pic so please feel free to tell me what you think.

I am at day 44 for veg and I am flipping to a 12/12 schedule tonight.

I am feeding the Fox Farm Big Grow and Big Bloom with Cal/Mag at 700PPM. It works out to be about 7 tsb of each of the Fox Farm and 3.5 tsp of the Cal/Mag. I started at 400 PPM and have worked my way up to 700 over the last 4 weeks.

I am watering every 2 to 3 days depending on weight of the pot. Each of the 4 plants is taking about 1.25 gallons at each watering. I am actually surprised at the amount of water they take. I am feeding every other watering, but always add Cal/Mag. I have applied a foliar spray twice with Cal/Mag, one week apart. Has not helped yet for the Blue Dream, so maybe it is a light bleach issue. I have raised the light to 20 Inches, but no help there either.

The Scrog screen is just about full. I misread the scrog thread and probably should have flipped well before now. I will add a second screen as required. But I am a little worried I may run out of vertical height. I have room for about 2 more feet of growth, so hopefully my stretch is not crazy. I have toyed with pulling out one of the 4 plants but decided to let it go and see how I do.

From here on in, I will post weekly. Feel free to ask any questions and I am always open to advice. There are so many great posts on this forum. Many thanks to all here, I have learned so much!

Looks like light bleaching to me. Since the other leaves that aren't in the intense light are still green, i would definitely say light bleaching. Raise the light a little bit, you should see a change in a day or two.

leafs look just like mine, and sorry but I don't have it figured out completely, what's weird is two of my strains show it and two don't

EastLED thought it was light bleaching. I moved the lights up to 21 inches and see lots of improvement. Were you able to get yours figured out?

I'm at Day 7 since flipping to 12/12. The pants are doing great and are showing sex. All 4 are females. This was to be expected from feminised seeds, but still good to see.

I have added Fox Farms Tiger Bloom to the feeding schedule. Feeding at 750 PPM and the plants look happy. I have been feeding at every watering for the last 3. I am not sure if I should continue feeding at every watering or up the nutrients and do straight water every other watering?

I also should have reported about my well water. It is 75 ppm from the faucet. I am very pleased! I'm still using Cal-Mag at each watering as well.

I removed a lot of vegetation under the screen, but my Scrog is still chaotic. I'll do better on my next grow.

They are filling up nicely. Still feeding at 800 with Fox Farms and Cal/Mag. I added a second scrog net and hope the stretch is done. I am running out of room.

Day 31:

Plants are doing amazing. The GoGreen light is as high as I can get it in the tent. I flipped a little late but the stretch is done and the plants are tolerating the 16" distance. Only side affect I see is bleaching on the tallest colas.

I have dropped the Fox Farm Big Grow and am feeding with Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom with Cal/Mag at about 800PPM. I am feeding at every watering.

I water every 2-3 days and each plant is still taking 1.25 gallons. I water until there is about a 20% runoff and then I vacuum the runoff out with a small car vacuum. It works great!

Here are a few pictures. The buds are really starting to fill out.

MC, I have the 6 cob GGL model. To gain some clearance you can double over the aircraft cable hangers onto themselves. On my light I used one cable doubled over for each pair of anchors.

Thanks for the tip! After trying your suggestion. I ended up using 4 ratcheting straps directly to the anchors and did away with the cables completely. I can gain a couple more inches it I tie the light directly to the frame.

How do you like your GoGreen so far?

I also considered going with just the rachet straps, but decided it would be a pain to get it to balance level (yes I have small bubble level in here to check lol).

The light seems to be getting the job done with my girls, they are looking healthy and a rich green. This is my first grow so reading, trying different things and trying not to fuck up the watering. My buddy (who is also just started with HPS/MH) convinced me to turn on both banks last night so it seems very bright. I need to transplant and after they recover in a week or two, put them in flower. After this run I will start four autos to put in my cold frame greenhouse in the spring (too much light exposure from neighbors, street lights for photos).

Here is my lil garden; up front is Dinafem Deep Cheese, back right is 707 Truthband and back left is Money Maker. First two are four & five weeks from seed and MM is two weeks.

Looking great! This is my 1st indoor grow as well. I drove myself nuts for the first 8 weeks reading and trying to get it all right. Watering was a big one for me too. Now I lift the pots and you can tell right away when they are light. I'm watering every 2-3 days and they are pretty dry by the end. Outdoor growing seemed easier, but I think it's just I can check the plants so easily indoors. You just notice more as you see them way more often - lol

I just popped 4 money makers in a second 4x4 tent. One seed didn't sprout, so I planted a 5th a week later and it came up. So now I have 3 plants at about 3.5 weeks and 1 and 2.5 weeks. I'll attach a pic in a bit so you can see.

This weekend, I'm going to plant 4 Pineapple Chuck seeds. I just need to finish a new grow area.

You should definitely run both banks. I ran both banks from about 2 weeks old. I started at 36" and just kept lowering the lights as the plants allowed.

Since you put GoGreenLEDs in your post title, I will add what they told me about light height and seedling/veg/flower cycles. I couldn't find much about that and COB based lights so hopefully this will find a new grower in search of information.

I heard that from GoGreen as well, but also read very different opinions here on the forum. That is why I decided to use full power, start higher with the light and see what the plants liked. 16" was too low (light bleaching) and I settled at 21-22 inches at full power for Veg. I am at 16" in flower, but only because of height restrictions in the tent. I'll be out of the tent and in a taller space after this grow.
