1st Indoor grow...375's of CFL...Lets go...Grow Log (Vegging)

So day 43 of 12/12.. And day 77 OF this grow... Lets see that bud.

First pictures are the topped plant... You can see how long and fat the 2 main colas are becoming this plant should yield nice for me..



And now some images of the Bubblegum plant... There's a lot of yellowing now, the bud growth is rather fast and the smell is amazing... Not long left for this girl at all 3 weeks tops id imagine.



Below is a picture of all 3 plants together.. I haven't really commented much about this skinny lanky 3rd plant as it was just a random seedling chucked it at 12/12.. It nowhas an ok amount of bud and smells very strong.. The leaves have turnt a dark purple and the stem is RED! Im not sure if its an illness or genetics but im not too fussed its more smoke for me ;D

So excited to get the next grow on the go... i have learnt SOOOOO MUCH ha lots more than i thought i would....

this is a great grow man!! here are my girls and my set up. I know i need to work on the proximity of the lighting a little better, but im sure we all know how hard that can be at some times with the space available. the biggest plant is 22 days old. everything else is between 6 days and 17 days. Very nice joshua! i love seeing other simple grows that people are doing Yeah the the whole lighting situations does get annoying with the repeated changing of height...Its a big pain in the ass for me as i only have the 2 bigger bulbs that i have to as close to the plants at all times.... Not easy!

haha after a 10 week veg and by the time u finish flowering your plants will be real big man.. Make sure you have enough space! Any way looks like ya doing great keep it up and u will see results like i did!

and yeah I'm thinking ten weeks is gonna be pushing it when it comes the space factor, possibly lighting to. I might just have to spring for some HPS's, or maybe do a lot of trimming for clones and lollipop them all into a big sea of green.
If only my entire family were ok with marijuana then I could flip thier photoperiod and we'd have a lovely thanksgiving aroma in the house...Turkey and Weed

back to the space issue....do you think if i kept them(by "them" i mean the ones that are the biggest when the time comes) in the same/relatively small containers, instead of transplanting them into a bigger pot that will help keep them a little on the smaller side? I think i kinda shot myself in the foot here germinating 14 feminized seeds in one run.

Id personally say for you to maybe do a 6-7 week veg... There's pictures on my first page of this journal of my girls at 30 days veg.. In fairness they seemed a lot bigger than most ive seen at 30 days! My next grow il be vegging for 8-10 weeks gonna try 1 big plant and use everything i know

Well i had a 2 inch seedling that i put into my grow at 12/12 and its now my biggest plant...but in my smallest container..id personally say that keeping it in the smaller pot will bring more problems than it getting a bit bigger.. So id say transplant...My plants are starting to struggle in these late weeks of flowering (going very yellow) this is a combo of the plant just taking the last of the nitrogen for the buds but im sure its also that i don't have a bigger pot.

Haha yes 14 germinated seeds will be a hand full... But put them party cups until they are about 4 inches tall and have a bit of strength in the stem them go up to a fairly bigger pot and a couple weeks before flower put them into the final biggest pot of your choice...

But with that amount of seeds make sure to experiment to develop your own skills and learn what works best... it will help loads i promise. This grow im doing was just for a laugh until i realized i was doing rather well ha

2nd pic is 5 more Purple P/Cream of Crop seed at 8 days old.
3rd pic is Afghan Kush ( i think humbolt seed org) at 15 days old.

Well done they look fantastic you can not expect anymore than what you have Looks like u have really learned what needs to be done In my opinion the whole grow stability comes from a good vegging...I have not had any real issues with mine and i believe its because i looked after them very well whilst vegging... At day 30 mine were just off a foot tall and reaaaal bushy.. Yours are looking to do the same well done again they look absolutely perfect.

Now time for some update shots of mine Below is some images of the start of week 7 of 12/12 (1-3 weeks they will be chopped )

1st image's is my lanky skinny plant that i really haven't spoke much about... It was the most crazy thing to watch grow once in 12/12 it was growing about 2 inch a day then got to bout 2 foot then stopped ( This plant was put into 12/12 at about 4 days old seedling ha)

This plants is a very evil looking lady... Deep purple leaves, a dark red stem and some really frosty buds looks amazing (May be purple and red from deficiency but never mind!)

Next is my lovely bubblegum...Smells tooo gooooooood! ( i estimate 2 weeks tops for this as the trichs are very cloudy but a tiny amount still clear.) The buds have really started packing on the size swelling rather quickly....Same for my biggest girl as you will see

Here we have my biggest girl...this is a couple weeks behind as it was a very late one to flower.. But it still has ALOT of bud and the 2 colas are getting big and fat just how it should

Now just some shots of the collective All 3 final ladys maturing great and nearing the finishing line..You can see that every plant is seriously frosty.. More than i ever expected...



Sooo that's them at there latest....the yellowing is my only concern but i know that they are going to do this is nature anyway but i know they are going to last till harvest... Im very proud of myself but i now know i could do so much more and cannot wait to get my second grow started..Will be majour changes

Lovely plants you have there

What a great up-date man!! Do you know the strain of that towering lady you have in the first two images? the way you described its growth seems to be similar to what how Great White Shark x Mazar is growing. I didnt top it right away and she shot up, no so much a stretching effect; just solid growth straight up. I'm hoping for two thick solid colas on her ( all my seeds were feminized so I'm keeping positive/optimistic about their sex)

hahah I feel bad becuase where you are frowning at the end of that sentence, I had the opposite reaction. I cant wait to see what they look like trimmed up. Any way your camera can get some good trichome shots?

The red stem looks to me to be P deficiency, great grow though, man. Honestly. Wonder whose genetics are your bubblegum? I'm growing the sativa pheno from Nirvana right now, and she is a bit of a feeder.

I am unsure on the strains as they where all bagseed besides the one girl i know is from a bubblegum strain..It even smells like sweets! Its petty fun watching 2 main colas forming its strange that its that simple to double a top cola...amazing!

Haha yeah i will have mixed feelings when the time comes to chop! Its been great tending to these girls but it is getting a bit much now the girlfriend haaates it! My camera i have been using is actually my phone! its been doing really well and i will try get some great trichome pictures next time around

Yeah it more than likely is a deficiency but the growth has been fine nothing seems effected other than the colour of the leaves and stem.... But to be fair looks alot like your avatar picture

The bubblegum is a strain that has been past through my friend, hes been growing it a while i was just lucky to get a seed

Middle of the week update...

So today i looked through the scope at my purple slim lanky girl and was pleased to see that 85% were milky, 10% clear, 10% amber...This is from checks all over the plants bud sites.

I didn't intend on harvesting this girl today but thought as it was my first grow.. i wanted to learn as much as i could from this experience. So i decided to cut her down.

The amount of bud was not bad at all i ended up with 23.4 Grams wet... This is a plant that was stuck in 12/12 at a tiny size so im very impressed with this result yield... This plant has also not had no where near as much care as the other 2 plants i have.

My other girl (bubblegum) that i intended to chop Sunday has suddenly exploded with new growth so im guessing this is its final push for pollen.. awww bless her haha

Right as promised peeps... MY harvest pictures

So to start with i will show you my bubblegum harvest. This was a great harvest for me as i had alot more bud than i imagined. This plant was under 2 foot tall but had produced some amazing sticky crystal coated bud.. I cant wait to smoke!!! So il do the pictures in order of the steps i took.



So theres the pics from plant to hung final product Im sure you will agree looks pretty daaank! smells amazing and is honestly completely coated in crystals. Just how i like it

So now i will show the harvest of my other big female... I beleive now that this plant is of the jeckel strain... As im 100% sure it was either jeckel or jack herrer i gained this seed from. aaaany way lets see these pics! (Despite this plant being bigger AND topped.. i actually got 14 wet grams less than the bubblegum.



I really expected more from this plant... I believe that this proves that topping really doesn't have that much benefit at all... In all honesty i think that if i didn't top this plant... The main cola would be larger therefore balancing out the weights with the split top... I may be wrong but i feel this is right in this case.

Despite this the plant stinks! has a really strong peppery smell, i just hope i get the drying and curing correct as the previous bud i have dried hasn't came out to its full potential but these 2 harvests i am determined to master the drying as it will be such a waste of incredible bud if i was to ruin this.

So there it is guys my grow from start to finish!! im really proud of myself as i had the most basic lighting the most basic environment and the most basic circumstances to even attempt this...

But never the less i did it!! i finished this grow with a total of (about) 175 grams of wet bud (This is from 3 full females) I think its safe to say i have my green finger!!

Thank you so much to all the wise growers on this forum that i have been able to help me and anyone else achieve what we have i really appreciate it i have learnt so much!

Also special thanks to Grorite, PEE2, You guys have really been here from the start thanks guys!

This was a bomb grow Marty!! I came to this thread late but I've seen all the pics. I just started a grow from seeds on Halloween '12 hope to veg six weeks and flower 6 to 8 as I have 4 different strains. Hopefully I will have near your level of yield. They budded up beautifully!! I gotta start a thread on my babies. Stay tuned...
