  • These are my 12 unknown plants from seed that i was given. they are a little over 3 weeks i have them under 4 x 600w hps lights at the moment which is actually my flower room but as i only have these on the go i thought why not move them, they were under 2 x 600w in veg room for a week before i moved 11 into here the mother stayed in the veg room. ive lst a little and am thinking of flipping to 12/12 what do you think. Im using dutch pro nutes. sorry for the poor picture quality, but they are very green.

Yeah, you could go to 12/12 anytime now. I'd wait maybe a week for those branches to grow upwards a lil more though..

If it were me, I would have them all under 1 600w for another week, bunched together in a corner. What's the point of using electric to light the floor? Next, I would give them another 2 weeks under 2x600w. Then I would think about flowering when the canopy is at least 60% full.
At the moment, I would say your canopy is about 15% full. Even if you are running a strain that has 3x stretch, you will only reach 45% potential if you flower now.
As you get to know your strain better, you will learn when to flip but, for now you are way, way too soon.
I understand your impatience. We have all been there. However, the satisfaction when you have 50 ounces is well worth it over the dissapointment when you have 10 because you rushed it.

Thanks for some good advice as i said its my first grow. What would be the benefit of less light though? (to stretch?) also i have just started germinating 24 white widow that will go into my veg room for maybe 4/5 weeks then into this room with these, then it might get a bit crowded in there. Also have an e z cloner aswell.

It's not about less light, it's about the area covered. 1 600w light covers an area about 4ft x 4 ft. If you can fit all your plants in that area, do so until they outgrow that footprint then turn a second light on and spread them out a bit. Remember, lit floor is wasted electric.
24 WW plants will fill that room well. They stretch about 2X. Are they feminised? If not, no matter. I would aim for about 16 fems (4 per 600w light). Grow until each is 1ft across (so, ideally, you would need a 4x4 veg cab and a 600w) then extend or shorten your veg time to compensate. In an ideal world, you will get 16 fems which will grow to 2 ft across each and fill your space perfectly. If all 24 are female and germinate, veg about 3 weeks (after first true leaves), if only half are fems, veg around 5 weeks. Just remember you are aiming for a full canopy hence the most efficiency.

Again great advise i will be doing exactly what you have said tomorrow (as it makes complete sense) My veg room is 4`x8` with 2x 600w in and the flower room is 7`x 10` with 4 600w in. Yes they are all feminised seeds. Thanks i just thought more light more space the better.

Have now had a little change round in my room, i am now only running 2 600w in there as it was a little difficult to get them all under the 1 light, also have done a little more lst`ing took a few more photos and 6 of my WW are popping out from yesterday which is great. all comments and advice will be appreciated.
