Very far from a pro, but many of my friends are experienced growers and say when having problems with tap water's ph they leave it out for 2 days and add either lemon juice/baking soda for ph down/ph up...

Leaving out is important, but it doesn't change ph.
Lemon juice changes, tho you need alot. Baking soda works i guess, such as vinegar instead of lemon juice.

Yes it does change the ph thats simple 3rd grade chemistry

Show me yuou ways wise one. The only ways that it would change the water is if there would be some particles that sit on the bottom of the jug after some time, so when you check ph you check the top of the water. Also if some kind of a bacteria starts growing in your water the ph can change, but thats not good to have growing shit in your water, so well...

Edit: and most of the water guys are using chloramine not chlorine, and chloramine evaporates after about 2 weeks. So leaving out is almost retarded now. But i think in my town they use chlorine so i let it sit out.

chloramine is derived from ammonia it is used in conjunction with gaseous chlorine. As the chlorine evaporates out of the water the ph changes. As far as growing "shit " in the water It makes little sense. Ever water your plants with pond water? I am sure there is "shit" in there. First you say leaving it out is retarded then you say you do it.???

I said it's retarded, because all the leaving out thing came from the thought of getting rid of chlorine that's bad for plants, now that alot use chloramine, 2 days don't do shit, but in my town they stil use chlorine, so that's why i do it.
Im more of saying that leaving out with the intention of change ph is stupid, i don't think the changes would even be noticable

do you guys think using rain water is good? a friend suggested it to me a couple weeks ago and thats what i started doing, but eventually im sure ill run out..

and im beginning to think that the leaves turn pale/more yellow when the plant is over watered..but i could be wrong

Well, as you can see, plants use rain water in the nature, so well technically yes, but if you live in a town in china next to a power plant, getting acid rain , HELL NO.

If you live far from factories and not too much traffic, go for it.

Dude you dont really have a clue now educate yourself a little because you aint gonna learn shit by talking. Water plants use both period. I'm not sure what you mean about bacteria and the other nonsense. With the amount of water you use for your window box it should not matter. But then again my first grow was in 1975 so what the hell do I know. Thanks for the education.

calm down and smoke a bowl. My point is, just take two plants, water one with a tap water with a ph of 8.0 , don't leave it out, and water the other one with the same water that was left out for 2 days. Then see that they will probably have the same problems.

now you can see the smallness.10012009294.jpg No signs of flowering whatsoever, so this is very good , because she need to veg alot longer, i transplanted to good soil and now no yelowness and shit. Snails ate first set and seed leaves tho :D Gonna give her nutes in next flowering. that should kick start this partey.

Man at first i thought your top69 was huugee, then i looked at the other pic, she looks good just on the small side. I am hoping to maybe veg for a month then hopefully she'll kick into flowering mode *fingers crossed*
What nutes are you going to be using for flowering?
