the supernova is an expensive light but what they mean by enhanced spectrum is that its a tri band light its not all that "enhanced" as they say the light in the link i left is tri band just like yours only its about 1k more expensive i only post this as a devils advocate and to try and get some feedback on what i think so please take no offense.

The Enhanced Spectrum SuperNova includes six additional custom spectrums of LED light. These added LED’s extend the photosynthetic range covering the entire spectrum from 405nm to 465nm in the blue, as well as 620nm to 740nm in red.

^^ is from the hid hut website on the spectrum of the super nova light

here is what is the info on the lighthouse led with cree led's not the bridgelux ones they use in the super nova

Blue LED: 425nmWattage: 240Red LED: 660 & 630
Which leads me to this question/point for u to consider Yes the supernova has a little bit more of a blended spectrum but is that really neccesary versus a UV LED with the nm in the right places for maximum photosynthesis

Also i have heard that the cree LED's versus the bridgelux are about 2-3 times brighter i am doing a lil more research to confirm this but wont really know til i get the light. Just thought u might find that interesting considering u dropped the big bucks on that light and you never know u may find that u want another and if this light works like i hope it does might save some of us people who need led's a lil money.

Ill keep u updated, good lookin grow so far man i hope that light pumps out a good one for ya

No offense taken here! Good job on the research that's what it takes! I hope you find the right light for you! I am not the authority on led at all! I did a little research before buying mine and am happy with my results so far. Even with the cost of my whole setup! I can't have any regrets it will drive me crazy if I do. Let me know what you end up with! Thanks!

The main thing I wanted was a good LED light that was good for all stages of growth. Which my light is. Most that I seen you would need to add cfl lighting for the flowering stage. That is what I was looking for in a good LED light. Plus High Times had the Supernova rated as the best new LED technology at one point. That also factored in my decision. But of course they come out with a new best of grow gear after I get my light and have a new led light rated the best. Lol what ya gonna do. Good luck!

hey everything looks great! im doing an led easyryder grow as well (check my sig) except im using 150w HPS to supplement the flowering. mine are at about 4 weeks now

Right on! I checked out your grow. Looks good! Thanks for checking out mine!

How do you give rep points to someone? I noticed someone gave me some and I haven't seen how give em. Thanks.

So which light are you gonna pick up? I'll tell you I agonized and second guessed a lot on what I was going to do. Even after buying my light. There is always gonna be something better to come along! I know I was driving my wife crazy trying to decide! Luckily I was able to use my own loot that I saved and hustled so the decision was totally mine. Otherwise I might have had to buy a different light. But once I set my sights on the supernova I was determined to get it. I bought the light before anything else. I then started on the cabinet then carbon filter and pieced it all together. I got a lot invested in my setup. Fortunately It only took a few months to get it all up and going. Selling my drums really helped with financing otherwise I may still be saving for this setup. My plan is to move from the cabinet to a grow room in about two years hopefully less. For now I am happy with my whole setup! I'm actually kind of proud of what I have done so far. Especially when I see those buds growing! I'm not a diy guy so that's what makes me proud is that I planned and finally got it done! Of course with some help from friends and checking out this awesome forum and some others. Thanks for following and let me know what you got!

im gonna go with lighthouse on this one its more in my budget. The overall plan after i finish putting my cabinet back together is to run two 240w led panels in the flower side of the room and run a 180w ufo in the other for veg, this should be enough light that with an sog or scrog i could pull a decent amount, the space im workin with is 5feet long by 3 feet deep by 5 feet tall cut in half for veg and flower. I think those lights should pump out enough for me lets hope they work good because if they do LED growing just got a lot cheaper =) otherwise ill probably end up puttin em up on ebay and buying my buddys panels from him in know his work good but he wants a grand for 2 300w panels o_O Im just gonna go ahead and jump in the deep end lol and if led's fail me completely back to the 150 hps with massive venting lol. It was nice being able to put it at 2 inches from my plants lol but too much power cosumption i dont even want to think about how much power i would use if i went with a 4 or 600w. Makes me wanna sell my 400 that i have sitting in my other closet

Right on man sounds like you got a plan! Keep me informed I'd like to see what your setup looks like when you complete it! It sounds killa and I hope it all works out for you!

Well today is day 44. Last night I gave the two Onyx some water and molasses while the EasyRyder got ph'd water only. I fucked up and the ph meter slipped out of my hand and into the water. I didn't buy the stoner proof I mean water proof model. Luckily it was only in the water for a quick sec. I was able to lay it in front of the exhaust from my cabinet and it dried out inside. Still works. Luckily. Didn't need to spend another fifty on a new one. Anyway the easyryder is now 24" tall. She still has curling and yellowing of the leaf tips. Not all leafs mainly the smaller ones on the top. Besides that she looks good. She doesn't look as good as my 19 and a half inch Onyx. Now she is looking awesome. The main cola is filling in really nice! The other Onyx looks awesome also. She is 24 and a half inches tall. Her cola is filling in also but so far not as much as the smaller Onyx. Well I gotta get back to work. I'll try and post some pics soon! Thanks for following!

Just a quick update for day 46. They are looking more beautiful each day. The easyryder has side branches almost as tall as the main cola. She still has the leaf tip curling and yellowing though. It doesn't appear to have gotten ant worse IMO. Both Onyx are really filling in the main cola also. Crystals all over the leaves also. Just a few more weeks and they should be ready to harvest. This Monday will be week seven and the easyryder seed pack says 10/11 weeks from seed. I would love to have some cured by thanksgiving! Anyway I'll be watering and taking some new pics later today.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good affordable(under$200) vaporizer? Anyone use a portable vape?

As promised some new pics. Just watered the ladies, and I must say they are very Beautiful! Dam the Onyx are filling in big time! Anyone know the harvest time from seed for the ONYX? My Easyryder came in a package that had all the info about the strain but the Onyx did not.
Here are some pics of the 2' Onyx:PA220119.jpgPA220095.jpgPA220098.jpgPA220121.jpgPA220120.jpgPA220102.jpg

Here is a group shot:PA220084.jpgThanks for following let me know what you think! Time to go medicate and grub on my wifes killa nachos. Im tokn on some purple diesel and some northern lights right now. Found a seed in the purple diesel. Wonder what the odds of getting a female are? Later

I have a "da Buddha" vaporizer (American made). Picked it up for $190 locally. However, I've seen them online for about $160. Ive had it for about 6 months. Haven't used anything else since. Also has a year warantee. Great value, IMO. It's not portable, but it does come with it's own carrying case and a couple of accessories. I actually use half the herb I normally use, and the taste of the herb really comes through nicely.

Right on thanks for the info I'll check it out! I think I am gonna go with a portable vaporizer. I like the iolite portable it's pretty cool looking and I read a lot of good reviews on it. Anyone here ever use one?

I have also been reading about a portable vaporizer called the Magic Flight Launch Box. Anyone ever try this vaporizer? It's $99 and has good reviews also. It runs on a rechargeable aa battery. Seems pretty stealth also. Thanks for any input!

Well today is the start of week seven since germination. The Onyx are starting to smell kinda fruity I got a few good whiffs of a new fragrance those two ladies are wearing lol. They are all coming along really well imo. I have to say though that the EasyRyder still has the curling of the leaf tips and some yellowing on the same tips. Over the last day or so she is changing color on her bigger fan leaves down at the bottom. They are getting lighter and are probably going to be yellow soon! Not sure if this is natural or if I have a problem. I was thinking it was natural that she would be drawing the nitrogen from these bottom leaves. I am not sure though! Maybe someone can help a ROOKIE out? Today they were all fed some nutes. The EasyRyder has not been fed any nutes in a couple of weeks. I decided to test the ph of the runoff water on all plants. Not sure if they way I tested is a good indicator of the soil ph level or do I need a soil ph test kit? I just poured the runoff into a glass and tested it with my digital ph meter. The Easyryder runoff ph was 5.6. The big Onyx runoff ph was 5.9, and the small Onyx was at 5.7. Is this an accurate way for me to check my runoff ph levels or do I have to get a soil test kit? Maybe someone can help a rookie out on this matter also? Also Im not sure how to raise or lower my soil ph once the plants are potted. Anyone got some advice on an easy way to raise or lower the soil ph at this stage of the game? I would really appreciate the help on this. I'll do some research also!

Thanks for following and for any advice you can give!

BTW I am really looking hard at the Iolite portable vaporizers. Gonna save a little loot from my hustle and hopefully get one in the next month or so. I have read a lot of reviews on these and have seen very few negative reviews! They sound stealthy as hell. People saying they vape right in public places without anyone knowing a thing. Some even said they were using them in the movie theater! LMAO

Your plants seem to be doing pretty good.
It is normal for the lower leaves to start to turn yellow near the end of it's flowering.

While that ph level is dangerously low for growing with soil, I wouldn't worry to much about trying to adjust at this time because you are going to need to flush your plants plain water for the last week or two and water is typically a ph of 7.
It should theoretically raise your ph a little during that period.

Right on! Thanks for checking them out! I was thinking it is probably normal. How would I go about changing the ph of the soil during a grow? Just wanted the info for next time. Thanks !

Way to go man. Sexy LED grow, I love it.
Right on! Thanks for checking out my first grow! I'm glad my Supernova is performing as advertised! Better for the loot it cost me! Lol. I am satisfied with the way things have gone so far! The ladies have been doing all the work making me look good. I can't wait to take my first toke! Maybe I'll have a portable vaporizer by then. Still researching them but I got my eye on two models. The iolite and the magic flight launch box. I'm bbbaked and rambling. Thanks for stopping by!

Well I just ordered the iolite from gotvape.com. Should be herre in a few days. It came with the comfort care pckg for free with free shipping also. I ordered the iolite optimizer also. Supposedly these just came out supposed to help with the hit I guess. I paid $220 for all. I can't wait to get my new toy and to harvest my first medicine grow! Great time of the year!
