1st Grow**SubCool Supersoil**1 Kandy Kush & 3 KC33**All in Smart Pots**Outdor Organic

Yo whats up people. This is my first real attempt at growing. So i can use all the tips and conductive criticism as I can get. Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them as soon as I can. So let's get into it.

First off I started these late as it was just a test run for my REAL grow next year. Although I'm not settling for mediocre budz my first time around. I've studied on the forums for the past year and although I dont know it all. I fell like I know at least the basics and am constantly learning more techniques as the grow continues.
P.S. My bad for starting the journal late but there is still plenty of time and plus I've taken pictures all the way through usually 2-3 times a a week so i have plenty of catching up to do. But i will fill everyone in as quickly as I can. Hopefully my attachments work. Let me know if they dont or if there is an easier way to post pics. And to everyone that wants to hate or thinks I'm not a true grower or am a pig. leave this thread>go smoke one and maybe you can come back! :weed:

Here we go,
So first off I started all 3 Kc 33 (reg-hope they are female) from KC Brains on 7/5/12 which I know is late but live in southern part of U.S. and I think we will be good. Like i said test run and if I get a little less bud than normal its all good. This grow is specifcally a learning experiment for following grows. I started them out the easiest way I knew which was throwing them in peat/coir pellets and putting them in a window sill with a mini greenhouse thing bought from home depot. I've started plenty of vegetables seeds in these so I said fuck it and just did it as my days were running short for the season. I planted 2 in peat pellets and 1 in coir pellet a little under surface and covered with some of the peat/coir. They popped out of soil by 7/8/12. and I couldnt stop grinning from there!:D I say this because this process of bonding with this beautiful plant is just as if not better than actually smoking the final product after a perfect grow.
I also got a freebie from Reserva Privada Kandy Kush (reg-hope its female) and decided to throw it in a paper towel to germinate with a different method on 7/7/12 because I thought they werent going to pop for some reason. Guess just being paranoid. I think Kandy Kush tap root popped out of seed in paper towel within two days on 7/9/12 and was put in peat pellet and covered most of seed very very lightly. she popped from soil 7/10/12 and has been chasing down the kc33's ever since.

First pics are from 7/15/12. first one on left is both kc33's and 2nd pic left 1 is kc33 and right 1 is Kandy Kush.

Hoping I get some Subscribers. I wont fail you!!!

yo guys, i'm doing this in pieces. here are some updates from 7/21/12. Here is one of my first dumb mistakes at trying a method possibly a little too early without knowing or having my tools to do the job (like what i would use for a stake for LST and was still unsure about LST technique).. but I will let everyone in on my little fuck up cause its all a learning process. I transplanted the 3 KC33 into the 16oz solo cups full of Fox Farms Happy Frog (wasnts my first choice but was a little cheaper locally at a shop). Have heard mixed reviews about happy frog but was only gonna have it in there for like 25 days or so cause i've heard you can stay in a solo cup for quite a while with just Happy frog or Roots Organic.
Anyways, I transplanted and after about a week of growth decided to lst with some fuckin scotch tape taped to a big leaf and that taped to the solo cup and no cross stake (dont think thats the proper term but whateva).
Long story short is the wind was real bad the next couple of days and 3 of them taped ripped off of cup and on the KK half of leaf was ripped off.. so know lst was ever started. HAHA
So from left to right kc33#1,kc33#2 in first pic, second pic is Kc33#2&Kc33#3 and the KK#1 third and fourth pics are just reversed. Go ahead and grill me on this one if yall want. ITS ALL GOOD HERE! :leaf:

So a week later and I've had to move locations from one to another which was planned. No worries on that end. But I actually started to run into some problems with my leaves around this time. I didnt know initially but soon found out that leaf miners were getting to my leaves even after using neem oil/dish soap/water solution every three days since they popped and were taken from window sill to outside. I was really worried at the beginning but more growth kept coming even though the plants looked like shit to me I never lost faith in there ability to over come pests. I actually got the idea to buy KC33 from a thread that was started on here for Best Strains for Outdoor Grow Thread that was started and lasted for a long while and they said that the KC33 was actually one of the most vigorous growing plants from the start and didnt have problems with mold or any bugs... not the exact quote but was the jist of it.
which i was really worried about because it would make no sense to invest so much money into a job that was gonna get eaten by bugs or end up with some sort of loss due to mold. Like i said this is my first real grow and I wanted the fewest problems which was the reason why I decided to go supersoil with these babies after a while of vegging in solo cups. check out the pics.
Both pics the 2 on left are kc33 (top and bottom) and the 2 on right KK is on top and KC33 is on bottom.
Let me know how i'm doing and if im lacking anything??? Happy growing peoples

What up future viewers and hopefully some of yall will join along for the journey! I transplanted 2 of the kc33 to smart pots. 1 is in a 5 gallon other in 7 gallon smart pot with Roots Organic soil on top 65% and subcools super soil on bottom 35% as I didnt want to burn these ladies too early. Saving the heat til the trichomes are perfectly ripe and my buds are ready for long dry and cure.
I also included some pics from my pops' bag seed from some regular shit and a wild weed (regular as well) that my pops found at his mother in laws (dont hate on my pops for not being able to handle the GOODS :leaf:! He would look like this :-P all day if I gave him the Good stuff much less the stuff I plan on growing. My main reason for growing is to get the BEST Quality and to have the ability to grow whatever strain whenever I want.
First pic is my dads regs#1 I dont know all the specifics on his grow. He doesnt smoke but once every 2 weeks or so. All i know is that its around 3 months - 3 1/2 months old and is probably in a 20-25 gallon pot I'm guessing and is just Miracle Grow.. lol My dads quote is "I dont take care of my plants like you do. I dont give a fuck about all that shit" hahaha he's a CRAZY OLD MAN.
2nd pic,3rd,4th pic are all after transplant into 7 gallon smart pot for the KC33.
5th pic left KK and right KC33 is solo's
6th,7th pics are top KK and bottom KC33
8th pic is top left KK bottom left KC33 and 7 gallon smart pot KC33 (These are what i call family photos)
9th pic is KC33 in the 7 gallon smart pot
10th pic is the KC33 I transplanted into 5 gallon smart pot and was placed in different part of grow spot.
11th,12th,13th pics are just the regs#2 that was found growing wild in a yard and my dad dug it up with with a shovel with just native soil which looks like mud and is still growing in approximately 5 gallon pot with just native soil. (this is just for fun and to see how hardy weed really is)
14th-17th are all KC33 in the 5 gallon smart pots.
Next update will be there reaction to the supersoil.

Lets go I know a couple people already viewed this. Can i get some subscribers that are along for the whole ride.

ANY FEED BACK WELCOME!

p.s. still fighting the leaf miners. those little fuckers keep leaving there trails on my leaves and turning the beauty to ugliness. does anyone have any ideas what i should do for my outdoor grow? I've been spraying neem almost a month and I'm still battling!

yo people 94 views and not a single comment? Does my grow look that shitty for a first grow? I hope not cause I still have a lot of hope in these hopeful girls. Even welcoming negative comments. The more feedback the better. Well here comes some more pics of some problems I've been facing but have been taking everything in stride and just taking it one step at a time. not beating myself up :wall:. Check them out and let me know what you guys think...

So I just posted around 50 pictures of both my KC33 and KK being transplanted and different problems I faced with them (leaf miners, nute burn, other bugs despite neem oil).

Check them out and give me some feedback.

Happy growing ladies and gentlemen. Stay high

i'll just keep posting away and hopefully some people enjoy what they see. last post for the night...

First 10 pics are both KC33 the one in the top of the pics is in 5 gallon smart pot and one in smaller pot is in 3 gallon smart pot (with 60% roots organic and 40% super soil).
Pics 11-17 are of the biggest KC33 in the 7 gallon smart pot (This is one of my favorites out of the 4) it looks like it is reacting well to the supersoil.
Pics 18-24 I believe are the Kandy Kush in the 7 gallon smart pot <She looked like it was too early for her to get put into the supersoil but i know she will bounce back. I've heard Kandy Kush is a real heavy feeder.
The rest are just the same.
Let me know what yall think?

Thanks,
Bud

What up Maga0, Thanks for checking my journal out. more to come possibly today.. I will try to upload some pics by the end of the day.

So I will keep posting my grow journal just in case more people want to comment or ask questions.
So I am at around 42-45 days and I feel like I have gotten through the initial kinks in my grow.. the bugs seem to be gone cause i moved the 2 that were getting eaten by the other 2 plants that were not getting eaten. Now it looks like all of the plants had something we call "hot feet" because i think i put them into the supersoil maybe 5-10 days too soon. Now the new growth on the plants is starting to look healthier with less and less leave roll up/down and less nute burn at tips of leaves. I've been watering about 2 times a week due to 100-110 weather i've been facing.
Also, im thinking about possibly lst'ing these babies within the next week or so. Still deciding what i will use to tie down and to anchor. If anyone has any tips on LST or the easiest way to LST? Let me know. I know theres lots of threads about LST and i have been learning through them. but just to make it a little easier for a brotha.

My pics include all of my plants and a couple of pics of both of my dads bagseed plants. a couple of closeups from the regs#1 bud sights.. tell me what yall think?

peace,
bud

Yo Traxx and AP2K, thanks for joining in for the ride. I'm glad to see at least 2 people that are willing to follow my journal. and my crazzy ass was contemplatin whether or not I was gonna post on my journal anymore... lol
I will be posting more pics in a couple of days. I actually went to my spot last night and sprayed with some more neem oil cause we got some good rain in the past couple of nights and i heard when it rains it washes away the neem... could be wrong though.. someone correct me if i'm wrong..
I couldnt take any pics cause all i have is my shitty phone with no flash. but no worries got my GPS locator turned off always.

trying to get my hands on a camera soon so i can take some better quality shots.. the reason why the pics dont look so bad is because I literally put the lens 2 inches away from the plant. I'm actually thinking about throwing a Dinafem Roadrunner #2 in a 3 or 5 gallon smart pot but don't know for sure yet. my plan is to put it in 8/25 and it will be done 70-75 from date of planting so it'll be done around the time my other plants are ready if not a little before.. do yall know about auto's??
I have a lot more super soil ready to go cooked now for like 50+ days so should be prime. I have some happy frog soil too but dont want to put seed in there cause i had some early problems with my non autos w/ nute burn.. I'm thinking of buying another bag of Roots Organic.. i just dont know the ratio to use of supersoil to base soil for autos???? anyone chime in with some info..

Peace,
Bud

so i went to my spot today but i went when it was a little dark and my shitty ass camera phone wouldnt pic up great detail.. i snapped a couple of quick photos but none worth posting.
my plants look very nice. i think i see three girls already but need to confirm Saturday during the day hopefully with some close up pics so ya'll can confirm it as well.. but im pretty positive that my Kandy Kush is a female two pistils isnt that hard to miss but i will double confirm in day light.. and btw that girl has been stinkin soooo nice since about 10 days ago i guess i forgot to add in that critical detail.. this is by far the best bud i've ever smelled in my life.. but i didnt expect anything less when i went the supersoil route and plus the quality of bud we can grow ourselves is always 50 times better than what we can get from a dealer... i guess im still gettin used to the fact that sooner than later i wont need a dealer any more. other than maybe once a month for an 1/8 or somethin small just to keep the cover straight on all ends. but back to what i was sayin about the hopeful girls.. kc33 in the 7 gallon is doing bad ass hardly any nutrient burn on new growth (that goes for the 2 others except the kc33 in 5 gal) the main difference between the kc33 and the kandy kush is the kc looks more like its space between nodes are a lot closer than the kandy kush but that also could be due to the fact that the kandy kush is a few days younger.. I also think the kandy kush is already starting to flower.. i think its about that time but im just a little confused because its only been like 53 days since i started and they still seem kinda small to me.. but i'm guessing its cause i started them so late in the season.. anyone chime in and let me know if im wrong about anything im thinking.. i want/need all the knowledge about growing as i can get. especially from outdoor growers...

I'm thinking about lst'ing all of my plants to keep them from growing so high... what do ya'll think???

alright well ill do an update this weekend sunday with some pics so ya'll can better help me.. hopefully i will have some bad ass updates from here on out.

stay high!cause i do,
bud

yo RIU,

I've been really busy with work and my son/ family. But I have been snapping as many pics along the way as possible. Sorry for leaving yall hangin for a while. I work til about 7-8 everyday so that is right before the sun goes down so sometimes i would go to the spot to check on them and my phone wouldnt pick up any good pics.. So i waited til I had at least some decent quality pics and something worth showing.

I decided to LST all of the plants because they were already 6 inches taller than my 36 inch BFGOODRICH tires they are next to and were almost getting taller than the whole truck on about a 4-5 inch lift. (truck is sitting until i get the money to get her back on the road)

I posted a bunch of pics of both before and after lst and i think a couple of close-up pictures of kk starting to bud
Btw i confirmed three females and a possible male (kc33 in the 3 gallon) but I dont know for sure because my outdoor light cycle is barely getting to its 12:12 and I think thats when they show sex.. some earlier than others. the kk showed sex earliest despite its later start then kc33 and also started floweing first followed by the KC33 in the 5 gallon then the KC33 in the 7 gallon showed sex shortly after but the day after LST'ing i went back to check on them and the top of the KC33 in the 7 gallon got ripped off some how but also couldnt find the 8 inch top that was ripped off anywhere around the vicinity which was weird to me but there is other green growth around that it might of got blown into by the wind.. maybe i was too :eyesmoke: to see it. lol

so the kc33 in 7 gallon hasnt started flowering yet because its top got violently ripped off and is going through a little alone time right now under the soil making new roots to support new growth in place of what was lost.

Whats up,
So here is another update for the 1st of the month.
The first 4 pictures are the KC33 in the 5 gallon which is looking pretty nice but still not smelling all that much but that might be changing now that it just started to flower.
The next 2 pics are of the KC33 in the 3 gallon which is looking a little different than the other to KC33. Its also the one that I think might possibly be a male and might be ripping out in the next few days of confirming it.
The next couple of pictures with the broken top is the KC33 in the 7 gallon pot that is female but hasnt started flowering yet i think due to the stress from the accidental topping.
The last set of pics are the Kandy Kush and some close ups of her early flowers.
Last but not least on the list of pics is my pops bag seed which is looking pretty nice despite a branch getting snapped off last week by some major winds that came in.

Let me know how yall think im doing?? My first grow so I need all the tips i can get.. Positive or negative comments welcome.

p.s. i think the pictures uploaded in reverse order..

Peace,
Bud

Everything looks good.. From the beginning to now was a big bounce good job.
Thanks Wyteberrywidow,
Yeah I've learned a lot on my first grow and am still learning as I go. I just removed my kc33 in the 3 gallon because it was showing signs of male parts.. So i moved it way away from the other 3 that I got going and in place of the kc33 I just planted a Dinafem Roadrunner#2 Auto today. It's supposed to be done 70 days or so from date seed was planted so I just decided I'd throw one more seed in a 5 gallon smart pot for late this season. i dont think I will be harvesting til late October to Mid November so I will be fine. I also wanted to have the oppurtunity to just let my auto grow vertically instead of LST'ing. I just love the way the christmas tree looks! :weed: but my plants reached 4 feet and I got SCURD! lol. i'm sure we all do on our first time around.

Stay high,
Bud

What up to anyone that is still checkin in on the journal
I have a little bit of bad news!
My KandyKush is a goner! I truly feel that my pops accidentally kicked one of the objects that I was LST'ing to (in this case was some rocks holding the plant down)
It was on a tiny bit of a slope and I think he possibly kicked the rocks or knocked something into the rocks which snapped the plant from the base.
This was a big reality check. SUCKS! This isnt even the beginning of how bad the past couple of weeks have been for me all around.

I guess I have to look on the bright side of things and see the good rather than the bad. The KK was a freebie and I still have 2 fem one reg. I was just super excited that out of 4 reg seeds I planted 3 were females. That seemed like a good ratio to me. Then I got the news of the 2nd lost plant. So that took me to 50% of a loss.
I just have to drill it in my head that my first post on this thread I clearly stated that this is a test run for my TRUE grow next season. So I guess I'm feeling that learning curve and truly have learned a lot this season and stil continue to learn new things everyday.
Let's just hope I can take my 2 KC33 girls through harvest and also hope the Roadrunner#2 Auto that I started will finish along side and give me at least part of what the KK was going to yield. She was a beauty but I have to move on I still have 3 girls I have to tend to.

Sorry for venting and thanks for reading.
I will update some pics soon. I just havent really had too much of updates because my buds are still filling in and dont want to make people bored.

happy growin,
bud
