It actually doesn't push up on the rubber bands very much. I don't have a problem with that. On the other hand, which I have been forgetting to mention, every day or so 1 or 2 rubber bands break and I have to replace them. Not exactly a big deal since I bought 1.4 pounds of rubber bands. If I was to use stronger ones I am sure this would not be a problem. But usually it is only about 1 rubber band a day.

My girl is growing really fast now, I may have to start flowering her in a week or two.

I have a similar setup and I have a question... how do you keep the power outlet at the top without falling?

If you mean the light box thing, I have those wired to an extension cord. The box is held up my hot glue and tape. Was previously just tape, but then that began to slowly come off.

Alright so one of the branches i guess i bent too far from the stem and it broke off a bit, a few days after that the whole branch was dry. I just decided to remove it so the rest of the plant could continue to grow since I still have a while i can veg.

I will put picture updates up tomorrow! sorry for the long wait. kinda busy week. need to write some essays do tomorrow. there are about 30+ "bud sites" if i was to flower now. I cant wait for the final product! it has almost covered the whole bottom. I let it grow without the rubber bands because of some issues with me bending the branches too far from the stem, Now i just bend the branches in the middle of the branch with kinda a super crop method of pinching the branches so the bend easier. you will see tomorrow for day 32. it is looking awesome now..

I almost broke of one of the tops from bending it too far, (this all happened the same day pretty much) but now i know how to bend it better.. lol

Here you go!
Day 33

So this is the top I cut off, I am seeing if I can clone it in soil and no clone gel or stuff. It has been like that for 4 days. and you can see it is still alive!

I topped one of the 2 tops again and here it is after 4 days

sorry for the blurryness

how the branch looks after it repairs itself

the tops first separation.

Maybe 4 four sets of small leaves that aren't getting much light look like this, is this nitrogen burn?

Added some more rubber bands and spread the nodes out

looking really good, very fast growth. without the LST those will be some nice bushy plants.
do you think the bud sights will get enough light once you start flowering?
also are those pistils i see in the 6th picture?

Yeah, they should get enough light. I think that is just a hair. lol I didn't notice it till the picture.

I also think I burned some of the leaves from heat/light. Not quite sure, but it was only the half of the plant that was under the light that day. It wasn't too much closer than what I normally had it, but I have lowered the plant a few DVDs and it is doing better.

I am putting this girl through torture.. It sucks seeing it get hurt.. Well I am learning a lot from these experiences and I hope my second grow won't have as many problems as this one has had so far.

I think I'll upload some pics tonight, I have cut off most of the burnt leaves but some are still on.the parts that didn't get burned are growing very fast still though!

Thanks, I was trying to think of a way to kinda do scrog but not have to deal with having to do all the scrog in the case and not be able to turn around the plant to get even light on both sides. Also this keeps the plant very short while letting it develop lots of nodes and internodes. besides that i keep making noob mistakes with the grow it seems to be working very well.

Day 36
I just did some rearranging of the nodes and I have about 26 good size nodes so far!

here is some photos of the damage caused by the heat from the light burn, if it looks like something else let me know

as you can see it is in the middle of the leaf also

the roots are getting bigger

i had to turn one branch around otherwise there wouldn't be enough room on that side

the clone still doing well after 7 days now. still no roots, no cloning gel has been added. just moist/wet soil. totally an experiment.

I plan on going into flower once the damaged nodes and leaves are healthy again and I have given a couple days to grow up our of the rim of the container.
