Hey everyone, welcome to my grow journal. Heres a basic rundown of whats happening. I'm a current student doing a closet grow mostly because of the love of sweet sweet mary jane but also selling some for profit. The strain i ended up with was Nirvana female snow white. Seeds arrived 9/5/07 discreetly packaged and to my suprise 10 seeds. Nirvana has clearly marked on their website and forum that all fem seed packs will only contain 5 seeds. thinking this was a mistake and i received non female seeds i contacted customer support to learn fill in employees had accidentally just sent 10 female seeds. sweet! 8 seeds were germinated on 9/6 48 hours later 7 were transplanted to stonewool cubes. cubes were soaked with 5.5pH distilled water and set under 4 4' aquarium/indoor plant floros set on a 24/0 light cycle, watering everytime cube top feels dry.(2-3 times per day) 9/6- other seed was put in a cube. 6/8 seeds have shed they're seed casing. while helping one off (stupid i know) i accidentally unrooted the plant, root was pinched when trying to replace, plant removed. 9/11 removed another plant due to a pinched stem that was preventing further growth. plants showing light yellowing on tips of leaves due to overwatering is my guess. growth has seemed to slow down considerably due to overwatering. plant #5 is severly stunted and has not even began to show its first jagged leaves. 9/12- plants were put under a 150wHPS transported to 4" stonewool cubes, placed in 3 gallon pots filled with hydroton. drip system installed, 2gph drippers, 18gal res. yellowing on leaves has taken over the majority of the leaves. 9/16- 5 plants. 82f 40% humidity. 24/0 one plant droopy so i gave it a little more water. woke up in the morning to find it laying down, pulled plant and had very poor root growth for its height, roots dryed out.

So far things I would have done different- kept seedlings in a dark place until sprouted above the surface. watered waaaay less. not touched any of the plants.

the only camera i have as of right now is a cell phone camera so enjoy these pics and let me know what you guys think so far and any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone heres a quick update on the lovely ladies-pulled the one last plant, the runt of the bunch. This thing wouldnt grown an inch, its first true leaves started to show but stayed at only 4mm for 6 days so i decided it was time. That same day I started germinating two more seeds, the last of them sadly. I really wanted to go into flower with 6 healthy plants, save a mother and have a pick of the best 4 to scrog my whole closet. The two seedlings are doing great one has just poked up above the stonewool surface and the other is already strait up with its seed leaves spread wide open. One of them is rapidly outgrowing the others and it seems like every time i look it has grown. Current conditions in the grow room- 80F 40% (have a couple buckets in there trying to raise my humidity). They're on a 24/0 schedule getting watered three times a day for 15 minutes. My pH off the drip line is right at 5.5.
Hopefully ill be getting a better camera soon so I'll be able to post a couple pics.
And lastly i picked up some really good bud today hope mine turns out this well!

heres whats going on with the plants-

9/26/07 5 Plants. 150wHPS 18/6 now. Right now- 87/34% Max- 87/44% Min- 73/32%. pH- 5.5 All are healthy with nice green new growth, todays the first day you can really see them just loving their environtment, all reaching up towards the light. Plant #9 was germinated on 9/18 and is now the largest of them all, i will admit a little bit of stretch but nice big deep green leaves #10 is the second largest of them all. The difference between the two sets are incredible and show just how bad overwatering and low light conditions combined with low humidity and high temps can really stunt growth. As for the trash can full of water I havent really seen an improvement in raising humidity. I saw a great thing on another post on the forums about a mini humidifier on ebay for about 35 bucks so im for sure looking into it. As for the pictures im still waitng on my digital camera to get here but until it does i should be getting a better cell phone camera soon.

9/3/2007- A whole bunch of changes since the last update. 4 Plants now. i went home for a weekend, came back and i guess my drip line had kinked and the plant died, very sad day. Since the start I have had problems with my hydro set up and now realize that it was over ambitious to try and make my own hydro then grow with it my first time. All the plants are now in two gallon pots, fox farm ocean forest soil and on a light dose of earth juice microblast and earth juice grow. After the transplant two days ago and the nutes you can really tell the plants are starting to grow, though they still remain very stunted from overwatering. Also on a good note I found out that my 150w hps is in fact a 250w hps (got it off a friend who said 150w, didnt even bother 2 look on the ballast haha), this would explain a lot of heat stress issues now that i know im dealing with 100 more watts. the current conditions in the grow room are 78F 40% Max-89F 47% Min- 75F 31%. Still cant find a really good cheap way to raise my humidity. Any suggestions??
