1st grow-leaves curlin, yellow spots, gnats wtf!!!!!!

OK according to my friend who gave me the seeds its maui waui. Now, Its about 14 inch and about 9 weeks old I just put it into flowering a couple of days ago. im using 5-26 watt cfls with 1- 40 watt cfl the problem is the damn leaves keep curing upwards. ive read that it might be heat stress but, the temp stays around 78-85 during the day which is fine right? Also i have some leaves with yellow spots more so on the edges. last but not least i cant get rid of these gnats (small black flies) what harm do they do to my plant plz help!!!!!! i would also appreciate any other constructive criticism:joint:

Can't help mate, but you've got me worried now wish some one in the know would answer.

any suggesttions on how to get rid of them? i heard u can put a inch of sand on the topand i did but it didnt really do much. damn dude u just scared the S*$*t out of me it cant die on me:cry:

I'm not sure what the yellowish spots are from, perhaps the flies,but what I did notice is the curling of the end of the leaves that are pointing up. Is that light you have on them like a heat (shop) type light? If so they put off alot of heat and could be hurting your girl. Lots of ways you can use CFLS and other affordable ways to produce good light that wont burn them,check on here,lots of these guys have GREAT ideas.

SM90 may help. I have used it for prevention. If you get it, follow directions to the letter. Use in the water you water you plants with, and also mix up a foliar spray. If you are paranoid about using as a foliar spray, then just try to spray leaves, and try to keep the spray from getting on the buds.

Remember, if you get it, follow directions. Very important with this stuff.
