I f you veg them for long enough they will begin to show pre flowers. This is thier way of telling you their ready to flower when you are. Or you can force flower by putting them on a 12/12 light schedule. 12 hours of light, and then 12 hours of complete darkness with absolutely no light interuptions. However, if the plant in question is very young, they won't flower until thier ready. Plants reach maturity at about 8 weeks old. Good luck!
 
well they are very undergrown and hav been in soil for 59 days i think ( within days of 2 months) and are only about 5 inches tall. will they still show sex with being so small? or shud i jus ignore the sex and 12/12 till there like a foot tall? i dont want to flower them till i will get atleast an ounce or two off em. can i keep em in veg as long as i want, or do i have to flower em when they show sex?
 
nope, just normal looking leafs. they started growing the new sets a day or 2 ago tho so it probly hasnt been long enough for pistils or sacks to b big enough to see. im hoping ill see some in the next week or so
 
its weird looking, some of the new leaf sets have 3 leafs some have one and some are just 3 or 4 seperate leafs that arent connected at all.
 
It doesn't matter how small they are, you can flower them now and they should show within a week or to. If your looking for a better yield then you should def. let them get to a foot. When you flower they will double/tripple in size, depending on the strain. Pre flowers just let you know thier ready to flower, you can for as long as you like. Of course, the longer the veg, the more growth you get = a bigger harvest. You should look into lsting. This will allow you to have multiple top colas while keeping the hieght very low. CFL s don't penatrate to far into the canopy, this way the whole plant will recieve an equal amount of light. Got any recent pics?
 
thanks alot :) and iv looked into lsting and im almost possitive im going to try this on my next crop. im just going to hang my lights with 1 or 2 on top and the rest around the sides n toward the bottom to try and get the whole plant in light. there lemon haze, the guy i got the seeds from wouldnt let me in his grow room cuz hes a caregiver and i dont have my medical card so i have no idea what the traits of lemon haze is. but thanks, thats really helpful midnight
n the last pics i posted are from about 3 days ago, but they have grow ALOT(atleast doubled or tripled in size) since then, my cousin missplaced my camera but ill try to have pics tomorrow or the next day
 
Sounds good. I'm still messin with bagseeds. If you don't mind me asking, how did you find a local seed supplier? This is my last unknown grow and I'de rather get seeds straight up. Anyways, just keep veggin and get those pics up. Sounds like they were stunned, but are now recovered and takin off! Good luck, and keep us posted.
 
i know the guy pretty well, the only this is, is that he lives in a diff state. i used to live a block or 2 from him but i moved to a different state. i got these seeds when i visted that state for a wedding. i dont have any other ways of getting seeds othen then in my bags. and the bags i get dont have seeds lol they grow feminized seeds only. so im kinda fucked haha im kinda hoping one of my plants will b a male or i will have to make a VERY long drive... and yep ill deffinatly keep yall up ta date wit pics :)

I believe you're referring to your side branches. If you top the plant, those branches will grow out like they were dominate tops. If you leave em alone, they'll continue to grow out, but at a slower rate than your main top.

They're not a sign of maturity. I have a 44 day old plant in veg and its not showing any signs of preflowers yet, but my other 4 are. This one was also the most stunted out of my 5, so I imagine your plant probably wont reach maturity until it grows quite a bit more.

Just give it time. You're looking at least a month before any chance at flowering, but Id really give em two months.

Nice to see you got new seeds going. I hope things turn out much better this time.
 
yea ill deffinatly let em go atleast a month, probably 2.
and yea i hope so too, im not gettn my hopes up tho, the seeds are from some gross brown weed lol
there the only seeds i could find tho
so i guess its better then nothing
 
i made a whole new light setup this morning, it keeps the light directed on the plants ALOT better. its basically a ghetto reflector. i took a white cardboard box and cut it so it has a top and 4 small (bout 3 inch) walls to direct the light down. it looks pretty much like this..

its a lil over 2 feet long and about 1 1/2 foot wide.
im going to add lights around the side to keep em bushy. do yall think this is a good way to position the lights??
 
i wish i had a pic ta put up.. but the last pic i posted one of em had 4 n the other had 3 sets of leaves, now one has 15 n one has 13 =D there on their 8th n 9th node now (first couple died befor i get em on the right track) and i see little white hairs at 2 or 3 nodes, im not sure if its pre flower or not.ive never seen a pre flower befor lol it could jus b little tiny foliage lol
im excited to see wut happens the next couple days =D
 
its jus lemon haze, it could b super lemon haze i guess.. im jus calln it wut the caregiver called it haha but bagseed for next grow if these seeds work. im not expecting em to lol there not in the best lookn shape
ther REALLY dark brown, almost black
im trying to get some super silver haze seeds off a friend. there bein stingy tho >:'( lol

I wouldn't feel very comfortable about making a reflector out of cardboard..

Heres you a great link for you. Tons of DIY stuff including reflectors. Im sure you'll get some ideas on how to make a good reflector.
