1st grow, is there a problem with this?

Never remove the air stone or within days you will have root rot because the roots will be smothered from the water with no oxygen. Have your roots hit the water in your resevior yet if so their is no need for a water pump.

thanks +rep i got a digital ph meter so now i can control it exactly so i keep it at 5.6-5.9 before i was using ph strips of litmus paper. very hard to tell with those.

i actually finally figured out that i should keep the stone in and yes the roots are all kinds in the water. lol i think it all comes down to common sense. and i did turn off the water pump. so all should be good now.

oops too late, i cut them off this morning.

this afternoon my microscope came in so i took a look at the leaves that i cut off and i saw tricombs! yes they were clear. I know that everyone has tried this at one point or another so don't judge me to harshly, but i said hmmmm I wonder....... okay i smoked the leaves lol and let me tell you i feel pretty good right now a nice little head high (i did not even think it poss.) So you know when she is all grown up that she is going to be oh so potent.

i can smell it all over my fingers. hehehehe

oh yah i made a CO2 thingy today for my plant and it is working like a charm.

things you need:
1 empty gallon milk jug
1 packet of bakers yeast
1 cup of sugar
3 liters luke warm water
mix all together and poke a small hole in the lid an vuala instant co2

about every 2-3 days empty about 1 liter out, add 1 cup of sugar and add another liter of luke warm water. if you keep this up it will last forever.

just put it in your grow cab next to your plants. this is also very good if you have higher temps in your cab, it helps your plants to tolerate the heat better.

2nd pic - you see the 2 new main collas already growing from when I topped her 2 days ago.
3rd pic - she is a little droopy, it got hot in there last night, about 90 but she will perk back up I leave the flaps open during the light hours.

5th pic - my set up, you can see that i took out the fan and am killing 2 birds with 1 stone by using a cool humidifier, the water that i put in it is filter through the unit and i use ph'ed water because it pretty much blows right on her hence the thick stock.

9th pic - my book, tons of info and i found it on ebay used for 3 bucks and its like new.

awww so big and beautiful!!!!Im planning on topping my baby in the next few days hopefully growing so lovely im so jealous :-( hahaha.ur plants gonna be AMAZING!
 
The girl is looking nice barbie! I'm glad you topped, I'll be watching closley to see how exactly it turns out... I'm always to scared to top... I'm a LST guy myself... lol, but I'd say good idea on cutting off the old/dead/dying leaves. That's what I do anyways, that way wasted energy isn't spent on bunk leaves... BTW how is the little soil grow goin?

P.S. lol, My dog does that EXACT same thing! I have to get down on my knees tho, I'm way to tall for her to reach my shoulders standing up... And she is the most tollerant dog I have ever met. Little kids can come up and slap her and grab her ears and tail (I never let this happen, but sometimes that one little buggers will mess with her, and she couldn't care less! As long as she's getting attention she's happy! lol

everything still seems to be going good. the little seed is growing slooooowly but surly.
