This is my first grow and do not know when I should put it into flowering. I know I could veg it for as long as I want but would like to know if now would be a good time. I just topped it about a week an a half ago. Would now be a good time to start flowering? and if I want to take a clone off of it could I still put it into flowering right after?

If you go into flower mode in the near future you will be looking at a scrawny harvest. Problem with your plant
is the long inter-nodal distances. Means the branches are too small and too far apart. If you want to increase yield:
You did a good job topping the plant. Every place you cut will grow at least twice as many buds. So you need to leave her
in flower and trim the secondary buds the same way you did the main cola. I see half a dozen places where you can trim
off the growing points. That will double the number of buds to mature. I'd trim her right away and give her another 2-3 weeks vegging
to get much more bushier.
I know this method will take a bit longer than you planned. But I'd guess you will more than double your take. And that's what it's all about.

Im sorry if I sound dumb but im a noob and just not positive. What do you mean by trim off the growing points? Kinda like I did when I topped it?

It is all personal prefrence and how much space you have if you ask me. I veg for 9 weeks to get the 5' monsters going in my box. I usualy switch the light phase when the plants reach about 2 1/2 feet. The bigger you let it get before flower the more yield you will get per plant. I read a thread yesterday where a guy was flowering 12 plants that were smaller than yours. I strive to get the most out of my space. It is looking good bro I would let it go a little longer if you have the space. I read on here somewhere that you flower when the plant is 1 third the size you want it to be. This has been working for me so far. good luck... Im only on my third grow now so im just a fellow noob trying to help.
