1st grow ever may need help along the way

i have 2 plants under 70watt hps in a 2'x2'x3' grow box made out of an old trunk they look awsome it is painted white inside with oil base man is it bright calked up the cracks all but where the lid/door closes no exaulst as of yet light hangs down to the plants about 8to10 inches away from the tops all the heat is up in the top i know i need to get it out they have been in the light for 3 days now about 5 inches tall they are 3 weeks old now no water for them in 3 days when should i water them again they are in mirical grow plant soil should i add fertilizer to them what kind and all that if i do

Look and see if that Miracle grow is pre nuted... if it is wait till the nute period is done, or be careful about how much you add , if not nute after one month old....if your on a cash strapped budget a 20-20-20 is good for veg(any hardware, walmart..etc).. and the 10-52-10 will do for flower these are about $7 each, these are VERY strong and burning is easy, so start at 1/4 dosage..I never went above 5ml per gallon 3-4 times a month.. if you can afford/get the better nutes do so.. I assume you know the NPK nutes..for veg a higher N (5-3-3) sort of ratio.. for flower a 5-15-10 sort of ratio...... As for water I do every 3-4 days..this may increase under HID...... it is telling me the miracle grow feeds plants up to 3 months it has nitrate nitrogen,ammoniacal nitrogen,and phosphate potassium sulfate

Thats why I don't like MG....I like to control nutes myself... you can watch how they're growing and after a month add some more..but be careful.. more nutes doesn't mean bigger plants..it means dead plants if you're not careful. Or if you can replant in un nuted premium potting soil mixed with promix or perlite...

so in about 2 weeks would you get plain potting soil and mix your own 20-20-20 nutes cut the recomended doseage to 1/4 of what they tell you and feed them this like what once a week or what? but every 3/4 days give them some water. or should i keep the plants in the mg potting soil?

If they're growing well don't fuck with them.. but take into consideration that there is nutes already in the soil, when/if you add more.. I guess that somewhere along the way you're going to repot them..thats as good a time as any to change soils.... but like I said if they're growing and look healthy let them go........ that 20-20-20 is a basic cheap nute..I used it for 6+ years... the plant in my av was grown with it...

in my notebook part where i make my threads how do i get rid of the old ones i have made? the ones no1 ever replies to how do i erase them
