1st grow, are these ready?

hi this is my first grow and its only been possible because of the information on this site, so thank yu for that first of all. im growing big bang in a hydro setup using a 400w hps, carbon filter. using coco 60% and clay pebbles 40%. i veg'd for 8 weeks and have been flowering now for about 8 weeks now. i think it might be about time for harvest but as its my 1st grow i am unsure. i have read up bout when to harvest depending on the effect yu want goin on trich colour. i am definetly a couchlock lover so im looking for a mix of cloudy 40% amber 60% that to far gone? iv got some pics ill try and upload. thank yu

Kind of difficult to tell with the HPS on them. From the top of the bud on the first pic, I would say another week or more, then off with her head!

If you're looking for couchlock, I'd say hold out a couple weeks. She looks like she's frosting up nicely and her pistils are mostly red, but I would guess most of her trichs are cloudy with a few amber. Do you have a microscope to check with?

no unfortunatly not. i think i might have to go buy one. i was trying to get photos from cam and zoom in on ms paint but its just not quite clear enough. i went and cut a bud off just now so i can get a pic under normal light. its a bit clearer and i think iv abit to go

thanks that is what i will do 2 more weeks. no point being impatient coz im not goin to be happy with it. im surprised how well these have turned out. due to having to cut grow space by half meter in height i had to train the hell out of them when a good couple weeks into flowering. they hav been bout 4" from the bulb since then. not ideal but was either start again or try and finish them so here we are. since this was 1st try i thought i would try various methods out for my next effort. i have 3 plants, i fimd one and topped the other 2. the one i fimd has a 6 colas and one has 2 stalks fused together. its the oddest thing, top bud is huge like a lettuce or something iv never seen anything like it. thanks agin for your help and ill update photos next days show progress.

Ideally you need to wait until there are no new stigmas being produced (the hairs). This is basically when you will see the calyxes finally swelling up and the hairs almost receeding. To get couch lock I would say you need to wait more, but I would agree with the others, at least 2 weeks. Couch lock with 60% amber longer. Good luck, looks really great!!!!

will i notice an increase in size in these 2 weeks or is it just maturation?

Looks like they need to go further the red hairs are still standing straight out they have not started to curl back into themselves yet ,get microscope from Radio Shack 10 bucks ,to see your tricones ,you are close ,Happy Farming ,Cajun

These are the weeks that the calyxes will start swelling.
